What’s the best replacement for heavy cream in coffee?

I’ve just been using soy milk, and it’s fine but it absolutely does not come close to when I used to use heavy cream or even half and half in my coffee. Does anyone have a product they like for this? I am also looking for something low in sat. fat as I have high cholesterol.

How to fill the Greek Yogurt sized hole in my heart

I used to eat greek yogurt all the time and honestly it’s where I got about 30% of my protein from. Since I found out dairy causes me acne, I’ve cut it out but I can’t find a way to fulfill the role that yogurt was playing😂. My main issues are that dairy free yogurts are SO expensive, taste like shit, and on top of all that, they have barely any protein. Even the “protein” ones still don’t compare in the slightest to the Oikos Pro macros. For reference as well I’m in Ontario, Canada. I don’t think we have this Kite Hill brand that I see people talk about.

Any advice? I tried making my own tofu yogurt once and it wasn’t that good but maybe there’s better recipes out there, or if anyone has suggestions for other similar foods I could use as a base for “yogurt” bowls

Are restaurant mayo and aioli-type sauces always dairy free?

I’m dairy free by choice, not by allergy, so I’m just wondering is it worth the hassle to ask every restaurant about their mayo? Ive heard that sometimes places use milk but I’ve never really seen mayo with milk in it. Just wondering if it’s common at all or if I can generally assume it’s always dairy free.

Has anyone tried this and what are your thoughts?

Seems to have similar macros to soy milk (i think it’s 90cal for 8g protein) but i’m curious about the taste as it has pea protein as the main protein source. I don’t always like pea protein flavour lol

For those who have done multiple rounds with no success, what has eventually worked?

I’m 20F and have already been on two rounds of accutane. Successful while i’m actually on the pill but the acne comes back very quickly after stopping. I’m considering just asking for a long term low dose next time i’m at the derm but i’m curious for others who have also not had success, have you tried anything else that has worked?

For some background, i’ve tried most topicals (salicylic, benzoyl, tretinoin, tazarotene, clyndamycin) and have been on hormonal BC pills for 5+ years and tried doxy once. The only common treatment I haven’t tried is spiro, but I don’t really notice flare ups specifically around my period.

How to get off hormonal birth control without causing severe breakouts

Basically, I (F20) have been on BC pills for about 5 years now and don’t really want to be on them forever but I’m so scared for what will happen to my skin when I come off. I first went on when I had severe acne, then I went on accutane, then had moderate acne come back, then went on accutane again, and now I have mild acne again. I’m considering going on a third round of accutane in the fall, so would it be best to come off birth control during accutane to hopefully limit the breakouts? *also want to note I am abstinent and have absolutely zero intentions of getting pregnant or even having sex. I’m purely asking with regards to the hormone effects of going off bc and it causing acne. Has anyone had success coming off hormonal bc without breaking out and what is the best strategy?

Parents not helping with uni costs

My parents make a combined income of around $190K. I go to school in Ontario, Canada and pay about $15k per year in tuition and ~$12-15k in living costs as well as car insurance, gas, groceries, etc. Is it unrealistic that I expected my parents to help pay for some of this? I get absolutely no financial help from them besides them paying my phone bill. They also have no mortgage as our house is paid off. Tbh i’m not even sure what the 190k is even being spent on, but I think it’s a good amount of gambling and alcohol…

I’m mainly just curious what everyone else’s families income is and how much they are helping you pay for. Ik it’s just the cards I’ve been dealt and I’ll survive it’s just frustrating because I don’t see what is holding them back from even contributing $5K per year or something. I’ve been applying for a ton of jobs too with no luck so it’s just extra annoying lol. And of course I don’t get government loans/grants because of the high income yet they aren’t helping so not sure what my options are.

Can I caulk baseboards/trim with carpet?

I’ve been dealing with some ants getting into my house. I’ve been using bait and everything and the numbers are reducing slowly but I get a consistent handful of stragglers coming into my bedroom every single day which causes constant anxiety and discomfort. I know for a fact they come from under the baseboards. Can I caulk these gaps even with carpet? Or what else could I do to close the gaps just for peace of mind in my bedroom

I’m not sure if it’s just odourous house ants or carpenter ants or something else entirely. I didn’t measure but they are around 1cm long, maybe a bit longer.

Does anyone know how the recent Doug Ford changes with the 25% grant cap affect part time applications (ex. taking only 1-2 classes during summer). Previously I have received 100% grants for these study periods, even though the max for grants was 85% which only applied to full time applications, so i’m not sure if this new 25% thing is for just full time or for both full and part time? Anyone know?
