Brits & Burlesque (Fri Aug 21st, 7pm at Marie's, and then 10pm Allways)
A while back I let the local Brits know about the fleeting Heinz baked bean availability at Costco. Sadly, that has passed but the support group for our loss has soldiered on.
We're doing a get together at Marie's on Burgundy this Friday, the 21st at 7pm. We're easy to spot, daft accents, general uneasiness in public, you know, classic British behaviour. Stop by and say wotcher if you like. After getting suitably lubricated we're off to the Led Zepp themed Burning Hell Burlesque at Allways.
It's been pure serendipity, it's a wonderful bunch of genuinely lovely, friendly people. A collection of Brits and hangers on basically. We have a WhatsApp group and if you'd like to join, please PM me. When I post the link it's flooded with cryptotwats and other scammy nuisances.

Actual Tiki Bar in the Bywater (I deleted the AI post, sorry all!)
Sorry all, I posted a pic that is going around of a Florida guy who put up a Tiki bar in a Walmart parking lot and got arrested for it. I'm an idiot, it was AI generated and false.
So, to make amends, here is a snap from Lundi Gras of an actual pop up Tiki bar! Ah yes, much better, no AI and delicious drinks.
edit: It’s been pointed out this is the Marigny, my bad. It was Lundi Gras and I was sufficiently lubricated when taking this.

FYI There is still no permanent kill switch on macOS
PSA for Mac users, if the Proton app dies, you quit it by mistake, or you switch networks there's a good chance it will leak your IP.
Looks like it's been like this for 4+ years, why the company won't fix something that's kind of essential for a VPN is kind of baffling.
