Back in 2013, when I was at the very beginning of my venture into collecting polishes, I was visiting my Dad in California and did a polish haul (last picture) from a bunch of different stores we don't have in Canada. I picked up several iconic polishes, including China Glaze's Flip Flop Fantasy (best pedi colour ever) and Ruby Pumps, ORLY's Sparkling Garbage, 2 of Milani's "3D Holographic" shades (some of my very first holos), the OG Seche Vite, and of course the star of this post: OPI's OPI...Eurso Euro.

A few years later, I noticed a pattern where I would wear this polish at the end of September/beginning of October to "bring in" the fall season. Since then, I've tried to wear it around the same time every year. I know I've definitely missed some years, but here is a collection of manicures I've worn through the years with this stunning polish starting with the most recent all the way back to my very first manicure with it!!

Side note: the evolution of my watermark cracks me up every time 😆

I did this manicure to commemorate the one year anniversary of watching Hamilton: An American Musical for the very first time.

It took me two days to do, with planning and making the decals on the first day, and then painting the backaround (smoosh marble) and applying the decals. I don't think I've ever been more proud of a manicure!!

This is definitely an orange, but it leans very heavily towards red and lives up to its name! My gosh, Zoya makes gorgeous metallics! 😍

All of these were taken outside on my balcony with direct and indirect lighting, except for the last 2 pictures that were taken indoors.

I figured I'd take the opportunity to show what the Nail Shield system looks like on its own! The Nylon Fibre base has literal fibres in it, which is why there's a bit of texture on my nails. With that being said, there usually ends up being scraggly bits of the fibre hanging off the ends of my nails. Even with lightly filing the ends, you can't really get fully rid of them. However, they do get buried after a full manicure so it isn't really an issue if used as a base.

What I love the most about it is that I never have to worry about staining when I use it! I think one of the first manicures I did with it was a neon pink, and I was fully prepared for the inevitable staining that highly-pigmented polishes can cause. Nope. Nothing.

I'm planning on painting my nails a metallic orange that seems like it'll be a stainer. It did a great job protecting my nails from the pigments in my recent teal mani, and we all know how notorious teals are for staining!

My length is coming back nicely, too! I did end up having an odd chip that ended up in my middle right nail losing some length and now looking a little funny compared to her sisters. 😅🥲😮‍💨

Here's the results of yesterday's chop!

I had been contemplating a chop for the past few weeks, but the universe made up my mind for me this morning.

I already had a bunch of stress fractures I was managing with Essie's Break Fix, and then last week my right thumb met my partner's knee and bent straight across. The Break Fix was honestly doing a great job handling that one, to my surprise.

Flash forward to this morning:

Left pinky got bent rough housing with my partner, and then the right pinky got clipped by the fridge handle, of all things. 🙄

I'm tired of having to maintain the breaks and fractures, so they're getting The Chop!
