Solo travelers of Pittsburgh, where are you headed next?

I am currently traveling in Switzerland, and I've been here a month. I also flew from here toYerevan in Armenia and it was absolutely beautiful.

My family is here in Switzerland and this is my first time ever here. The next time I come , I'm staying 3 months and buying a motorcycle to get around. I had my family's vehicles to use this time, but I like to have my own everything.

I'm planning a trip to Brazil next. Salvador to be exact in the state of Bahia.

Most of my friends are scared to leave the country or too dumb to save money for long trips. It would be nice to meet people who actually just plan and go.

I do have a few people who are interested in my next Switzerland trip, but sometimes I would rather go alone because I am the type of person who never panics and figures it out on my own. So I don't have problems while traveling.

This is the view from my family's back yard in Switzerland.

(we love nature) My family is traveling to Armenia for a wedding, what is the first thing we should see ?

We're looking for some places to see local wild life , mountains , and beautiful structures. We would love to find a place to swim outdoors. Anything that you could recommend? I leave in 4 hours and appreciate it if I do not reply.

How has meeting someone at a work place helped you with your anxiety?

I'm curious about what others who suffer from anxiety feel whenever they meet someone at work to talk to and listen to your thoughts and offer insight.

I have a coworker who's mid 40s and a single mother. Our conversations started a couple of years ago and have just turned into us developing a sorta friendship with each other.

She's shy, beyond shy. Wears headphones and told me herself that it's her way of blocking out the world. She's opened up to me about problems at home , her wanting to renovate her house and redo her yard as well.

We talk everyday that we work together and some people have never even heard her speak a word.

Yesterday I got a text from her that was random. It was photos of her adventure she's on. She knows I love hiking and the woods. She does too and the photos were amazing. Just her and her dog on some amazing looking trails, some scenic water scenes and other photos of nature that I absolutely loved.

The last part got me though. She sent a message to me with the pictures and personally thanked me.

She said thank you for always saying hi to quiet strangers !!!! Told me she's doing well and will be back in a few weeks and she misses us at work.

To be honest, I cried after I read it. Because I thought about the 200 people who work with us, who have never said good morning to her or even tried to engage a conversation. So many people are caught up in drama that they don't care to meet new people or to hear their stories.

It made me feel so good and I feel amazing knowing that she thought about me to send me some pictures of her trip. It's so easy to be nice. You never know you can really change a person's life , because you never know what they are going through. I'm gonna give her a big hug as soon as she returns.

But beyond everything, I feel lucky she let me into her world. Told me about her struggles, dreams and goals. Now I'm one of her biggest fans and I'm gonna do whatever I can to help her with her projects whenever she decides she's ready!

Zurich Switzerland

I'm heading to Switzerland for a month. I'll be staying with family in Zurich and I have no idea what to expect.

Is there anywhere to rent a dirt bike and ride through the mountains? I've been so busy with work that I've had no time to a look up activities.

Just curious what's in the area that I would like to see. I'm definitely going to check out the lakes, but I'd love to ride a motorcycle around. So that was the first thing I wanted to check out.

Hyper dogs

Does anyone in the area have a hyper dog that needs friends?

My dog is very friendly to all sizes and both sexes. He is good at sharing his toys and loves to be chased. He's a very good swimmer and he's been to a couple of our creeks and just got his first experience on the boat with his life vest, he did amazing. If you were out in Bridgewater on the 4th, you may have spotted him swimming in the Beaver river while chasing his toys in the water.

All of my friends and family who have dogs that he plays with live in Ohio. So he only gets to play and run with other dogs whenever we travel to see them.

He's a rescue and I've been working with him everyday on training and commands. He's been around cats , chickens and ducks and didn't bother any of them. He was very curious at first, but he saw the other dog just not paying them any attention and he finally stopped trying to sniff them.

I didn't cut his ears. So don't try that shit, he was abandoned and was headed to a kill shelter.

The Boston Common is probably my favorite park ever

I'm from Pittsburgh and I've traveled a lot. I always explore the local parks and see what they have to offer.

I'm big into nature. So I love creeks and waterfalls, I also love searching for reptiles and amphibians with my nieces and nephews to teach them about animals and how they help the ecosystem.

This past March I traveled to Iceland and we had a short stay in Boston. We started at the Revolution hotel and just started to walk the city. After my cousin told me about the park we walked down to check it out.

It's such a beautiful park. Everyone was so friendly.

It's so clean, people actually care enough to throw their trash away and others pick up trash left by others.

I walked by the dog park area and it looked like it was a poodle club meeting or something. One of the dogs came running up to me out of nowhere and I started to pet it, then they all came. The owners were just laughing saying they all like you. The owners explained that this was an accident and they had no specific meeting for just the poodles and labradoodles.

There's so much to do in the park from exercising to just tanning and sightseeing.

If you're not from Boston and you're passing through the area. I definitely recommend checking out The Common.

I've traveled to so many states and 3 other countries and this place was amazing and I can't wait to bring my family to the area.

His name is Duke and my entire family and friend circle has fallen in love. I just left the country for 10 days and my friend had so much fun having him at his house.
