Took a trip to my local PetSmart today and decided to check out the reptile section, only to see these bundles of joy being kept in conditions like this. This was what I was greeted with when I walked over, and honestly, this is absolutely inexcusable. These animals deserve proper care, full enclosures, and an environment that actually meets their needs. It’s genuinely upsetting to see reptiles being kept in these conditions.

I was feeding wiggy (14 month old female bci) and while I was feeding her when she struck the mouse and wrapped it she let go a little later and didn’t eat so I got in and picked the mouse back up with some tongs and dangled it a bit and she ate the whole thing form the tongs which I was holding so I call that a positive interaction and I think that makes her trust me a bit more so we’re gonna be best friends or does she just like to be fed like a child

I'm setting up a bioactive enclosure for my bci and wanted to get your advice on the best substrate mix. I'm also curious if the type of isopods I use makes a difference. I've come across different opinions and information online about specific isopod species being better suited for my girls setups, and I'd love to get your take on whether it truly matters.
