How long after the first seizure did the second one show up?

I’m sorry I’m posting again. I understand that every case is unique, but I’m exhausted throughout the day just waiting for another one. I only get about four hours of sleep a night because I’m constantly watching him.

He was aggressive post-ictal, and I’m always watching so I can make sure my other dog is safe.

How do you manage leaving your epilepsy pup alone? Do you leave them alone at all?

My baby had his first seizure Friday morning, and he hasn’t left my sight for more than 5 minutes at a time since then. Even that, I make sure I can see him on the camera. I’m so scared he’ll have an another seizure when I’m away at work.

I’m back at the office this morning, and I can’t make up my mind to work. I was able to get our sitter to come stay with him for the 6 hours he’ll be alone at least for the next two weeks, but she won’t be able to do it every day, and I’m terrified.

How do you manage this?

Our baby just had a seizure

I feel like it’s one thing after another. We just put our cat down not two weeks ago, and my husky had a massive seizure for the first time ever this morning. Full-body convulsions for about a minute, peed himself, drooled, was very confused, and showed aggression as he was coming out of it. He’s the sweetest boy ever, and he went right back to being sweet and excited to get in the car and go to the ER once the aggression phase passed. He’s currently on seizure watch for 12 hrs at the ER, and we’re waiting to hear blood test results, etc.

He’s about 4 years old, a husky/GS mix, very healthy, and I can’t think of why he had a sudden seizure. What to expect from now on? What tests do I do? Any and all advice is welcome. I need help as I have no experience taking care of a potentially epileptic dog.

Is driving in Sacred valley an option at all?

My husband gets extremely car sick even two minutes into being a passenger. He has to drive. He’s also driven in African countries and in the Middle East. Is it that difficult to drive in Peru? Ideally, we want the car rental from Cusco to Sacred Valley, and back. We won’t need a car while in Cusco.

WIBTAH if I (bridesmaid) leave the wedding party 1.5hrs early?

I’m a bridesmaid who’s flying six hours across the country to attend my friend’s wedding. Initial plan was to leave Thursday night and return home on Monday afternoon. However, my cat is extremely sick, and I’m concerned about her health. So I’m thinking about changing my plans to leave Friday night. I’ll be there for the rehearsal dinner on Saturday evening and participate in the wedding Sunday as long as I can. I’ll then take a redeye flight back home on Sunday night.

The wedding is scheduled from 5 to 11 p.m. on Sunday, and I plan to arrive around 10 a.m. at the venue and stay until 9:30 p.m. Am I in the wrong for leaving early? And my cat has a procedure scheduled for Monday morning, but I’m worried that she might not even make it to the appointment. She’s quite sick at the moment. I don’t want to skip the wedding altogether.

Peru Plan

The original plan included Arequipa, but I don’t think it’s enough time. I also prefer to take rest days and not be constantly on the move. What am I missing? Is there anything I should add or see while in Cusco?

Also, any recommendations for good restaurants in Lima that I should make reservations in advance?

Any recommendations on Quelccaya glacier tours?

I’m not sure who to book with. I would like to two a day tour or a two day tour to see the glacier. A private tour for two would be best—but we’re ok with either.

Traveling to Peru for two weeks. I have

Is my itinerary realistic? Do I have enough time in Cusco to acclimate? Also, has anyone stayed at the Tambopata Research Center? Is the price really worth it? I want to see all these places, but I also want to relax during my vacation. I don’t want to rush from one place to another.
