Where to stay as a solo female traveler?
I am a 29 year old woman coming to Crete solo in August. I will fly into Chania and stay for a week. I had originally decided to stay in Rethymno, but now I have been looking at some other towns near Chania, like Platanias or Agia Marina and I'm having mixed feelings. The purpose of this trip is mostly to lie on the beach where I can rent a sunbed for the day and drink cocktails and eat food and relax, and maybe walk around at night and try some nice restaurants. Where do you recommend?

Hey. I'm a 29 year old female and I want to go on a week trip in August where I can just chill and relax on a beach, drink cocktails and eat good food. Is Rethymno good for that? And is it safe for a solo female?
