Best tents/shelters for JMT

I am looking to purchase a tent (1p) for my upcoming JMT trip and am looking for insight. I am open to both freestanding and non-freestanding tents. I saw the Halfway Anywhere survey on what people used, which really only consisted of 4-5 tents (between 1-3p versions of that tent.) I'm curious to hear people's experience with their shelters on the JMT.

Also, do you all use footprints with your tents?

Is it dangerous to hike the JMT solo as a woman?

Hello all! I'll be hiking the JMT soon, but my hubby has worries about me hiking. He's worried that I'll be attacked by a random male hiker. For context, I'm in my mid 40s, stronger than most women my age, trained in martial arts (including self defense), and am very aware of my surroundings. I told him that this is an incredibly popular trail, and that I'm not truly alone. The only worry I personally have is coming across a mountain lion.

Is there anything I could do or say that could help ease his mind?

Mod suggestions that makes clutter useful

Just as title states. Is there a mod out there that uses clutter in crafting or cooking recipes? Even a buff when you use it (ex: using a shovel in your garden will give you a temporary buff.) I love to collect all the plates, pot, embalming tools, even the clothes iron. Would love to use them if I could.

Favorite Campsites in AZ

I'm looking for recommendations for great campsites that are close to hiking trails. I prefer foresty areas like Pine, Strawberry, Crown King, etc. I'm in the valley, but open to anywhere in the state really.

Big Pine Lakes: Lakes 1-7, Summit Lake, Black Lake, and Sam Mack Meadow

I just got back from a 5 day backpacking trip to the North Fork of Big Pine Lakes. I made First Lake my base camp, then took a few days exploring. In total, I hiked 30.97 miles. I had planned on going further to the glacier, but word on the trail was that there was too much snow and crampons were needed (in which I didn't have.)

Favorite lakes in order:

  1. Sixth Lake

  2. Summit Lake

  3. Second Lake

  4. Fifth Lake

  5. Fourth Lake

  6. Third Lake

  7. First Lake

  8. Black Lake

  9. Seventh Lake

Sam Mack was so worth it. Pictures online don't do it justice. I almost didn't do it, but I am so glad I did. If I had to put it in the order of the Lakes, it would be in 3rd place (ranked above Second Lake.)

*All pictures are in order of my post title

For those of you that are wondering, yes, the mosquitoes were awful, even with 100% Deet.

Big Pine Lakes 1-7, Summit Lake, Black Lake, and Sam Mack Meadow

I went backpacking the North Fork of Big Pine Lakes this past week and had a blast. I hardly see anyone post photos of all the lakes, so I thought I'd share my photos in case anyone was curious about what the lakes look like past Second Lake.

How do I add Keywords to mod

I recently published a player home mod. One of the comments posted was that I don't have a certain keyword added to my player home, which is common in other player homes. I didn't see this in any tutorials when I was building a player home, and want to add this to my mod.

The problem is I don't see the keyword menu under 'Gameplay.' Specifically I want to add 'LocTypePlayerHome' to my mod, but not sure what to even do. I cannot find any info on the internet about this, and YouTube has like nothing.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!
