What if a crosswalk worked by fooling your eyes first? 👀

In September 2017, the fishing town in Iceland's Westfjords turned a regular zebra crossing into a 3D illusion after officials saw a similar idea in New Delhi. The goal was simple: make drivers hesitate for a beat and slow down before they reached pedestrians.

What stands out from the story is the logic behind the visual trick. This is traffic calming that works on perception first, concrete second. Later research on similar 3D crossings suggests the effect can fade as drivers get used to it, which puts the value in plain view: the paint buys attention, not permanence.

Hello everyone,

I’ve noticed many channels using AI techniques to create videos and documentaries, and they are getting lakhs of views and subscribers. These channels are also being monetized by YouTube.

My question is: are such channels just waiting for YouTube to penalize them, or will they continue to be monetized indefinitely?

Here is an example of one such channel: https://www.youtube.com/@anidoc28/videos

The sculpture is often called “Rishaba-Kunjaram” (bull–elephant). It’s considered one of the oldest known optical illusions in art. Dates to roughly 850–900 years ago

Recently, I’ve seen many 2D animated videos. Most of them are created using scripts from ChatGPT or Claude.ai. The images are generated using Whisk, then converted into videos with Google Labs, and finally, the narration is produced using Google Studio.

Since everything is created with the help of AI, do such channels get monetized, or are they at risk of being considered low-value content?
