Am I being misogynistic, or are my standards simply specific?
Are girls like this actually out there?
A female friend recently told me that I'm crazy after I described the kind of girl I'd ideally want to marry.
My preferences are roughly:
- Pretty/attractive
- Not overweight
- Decently educated
- Virgin
- Has never been to clubs
- Doesn't smoke
- Doesn't drink
- Preferably Rajasthani/Marwari/Gujarati/Sindhi
- No major personality disorders / serious emotional instability
- Less than 2 previous relationships
- Can cook occasionally (not expecting a maid lol)
About me:
- I smoke sometimes, although I don't drink or go clubbing
- 6'1"
- Decent physique — I have abs, but I'm not some fitness model
- I consider myself reasonably attractive
- Currently pursuing CA and should qualify around July next year
- Planning to do an MBA afterwards
- My long-term goal is basically to settle down and get married rather than casually date indefinitely
My friend thinks the combination of requirements is unrealistic and somewhat misogynistic, especially because I'm asking for things like virginity, relationship history, and lifestyle while I myself have smoked.
So I'm genuinely asking:
Am I being misogynistic here, or are these just personal preferences?
And more importantly, is it actually realistic to find a girl who fits most of these criteria? Especially in India among conservative/traditional families?
I'm not asking whether I deserve such a girl — I'm asking whether this demographic realistically exists and whether my expectations are unusually high.
Would appreciate honest answers, including criticism.
