Update- month 5
Hi! I wanted to give an update for anyone who is feeling down on the pill. 1st, progress does take time, but believe people when they say to take photos because holy cow the changes over the last couple months have been insane. I did 1.5, 4 mg, 4 mg, 9 mg, and this is my second month at 9. My SW: 173, CW: 148 GW: 130.
I have changed my eating habits a lot, I work out and do lifting and cardio and get my steps in, but it does work wonders and I am so happy I got on it! I did struggle with constipation the first couple of months but it has basically gone away. I drink a lot of liquid iv too and that helps.
It’s not an overnight pill, but stick with it, you will be so glad you did ❤️
First day of 9….. nervous
I do think after two months on 4 mg my body was getting used to the medicine but still a little scared!
Update!!!!! And question 9 mg
Hello!!!! Just had my check in at the doctor.
I did 1 month 1.5 mg, 2 months 4 mg, and today my doctor said we are moving up to 9.
Anyone have any tips of recommendations?? I have heard 9 can be brutal.
I have lost 18 pounds so far.
Thanks.
Anyone else staying on 4 mg for longer than one month?
Question has anyone stayed on the 4 mg for more than one month? I feel like it’s probably pretty common but I am on maybe week seven on 4 mg and the scale has pretty much stalled. I don’t know why I’m increasing my workouts, but I will say overall, I do look smaller, so just curious about the scale catching up. Does the medication work best when you continue to increase I know I’ll eventually have to go to the nine and I think that will be my step next month, but we were going on a cruise and I felt like my body was still adjusting to 4 mg last month so just curious.
Advice about my cleaner
Hi, I’m really hoping this post doesn’t get deleted because I would genuinely love advice from professional cleaners and homeowners on how to move forward.
I’ve had the same cleaner for a little over a year, and I pay her $200 biweekly. I’ve never had any major issues before today.
This morning, while I was at work, she showed up to my house with her toddler without telling me ahead of time. I have a 5 1/2 month old mini Goldendoodle puppy who is normally crated when I leave. I texted my cleaner this morning and told her that if my dog was doing okay, she could let her roam while she cleaned. That has never been a problem before.
A little later, I started getting notifications from my camera that my dog was crying repeatedly. I checked the cameras and realized my cleaner had brought her toddler into my home without giving me any notice. My puppy has never really been around children before and was clearly very stressed.
When I texted her about it, she asked if she should just put my dog outside in 90 degree weather, which I was not comfortable with, so I ended up leaving work early and coming home.
To be clear, I understand emergencies happen and childcare can fall through. My bigger issue is that someone brought another person, especially a toddler, into my home without asking or even giving me a heads up. Beyond the discomfort factor, it also feels like a liability issue. My dog is sweet, but she’s still a puppy, and I would never want something to happen involving a child.
Then, on top of everything else, my cleaner left a dirty diaper sitting on my formal living room table before leaving.
At this point, I honestly don’t know if I should give her another chance, have a serious conversation with her, or just find someone new. I feel like several boundaries were crossed today, and I’d really appreciate outside opinions on whether I’m overreacting or not.
Non food obsessions
Anyone else have new non food obsessions since starting a GLP-1? I can’t get enough of like sweet smelling body washes, scrubs and lotions. I have bought two that I’m obsessed with but got a fruit scented lotion today and I swear it gave me the same joy candy used to give me 😂😂😂😂😂😭😭😭
Hi! I started March 13th. Just wanted to give an update. I’m down 15 pounds. And staying on 4 mg for another month. I am working with a nutritionist and doing cardio and weight training while on the pill. My doctor was super happy with my results so far and said no need to rush the increase. Has anyone stayed on the same dosage for another month? Did you tolerate it well? My resting heart rate for the first two weeks on 4 mg was super high and my Oura ring was freaking out about my recovery and so I’m excited to see how I continue to progress on 4. She said next month we will look at 9 and I’ll probably go up to that for 3 months after until I hit my goal weight and then go to a maintenance dose.
Hi, I am currently on week six and on 4 mg. I feel like my hair is starting to shed more. Does anyone have any suggestions? I do have collagen powder and I need to be better about drinking it but the taste just is so bad help
