Leather vs. Steel
My little Zenith Prime finally came back from service and now it’s time to find it a bracelet. What do you guys think about the leather vs. the steel?

I bought my 556 MOP a year ago on the gray alcantara strap because I didn’t really like the look of the H-link or the fine link bracelets… I really like the look of the oyster style bracelets, but couldn’t find one that fit perfectly. This Unlce Bracelet made for the Seiko Alpinist almost got me the look I wanted. Though, I really wish Sinn would make their own dedicated oyster style bracelet for the 556. Anyone else feel the same?
I was at an estate sale today, and they had this Lange for sale for $80k. It came with the original bracelet, but I didn’t ask about box and papers. Are these really worth that much? I tried finding pricing online, but it seems to be all over the place.
I may have gone a bit overboard and bought a few straps for my 556 MOP. I’m curious what you guys think about how they compare:
Sinn OEM gray alcantara strap
Uncle Straps Lincoln bracelet originally produced for the Seiko Alpinist
Veblenist black leather strap
Veblenist brown leather strap
I recently bought a Zenith watch originally produced in the 1990’s. It was in running condition, but given that I didn’t know its service history, I took it to a local Zenith retailer that also services watches themselves. I asked them to evaluate it and give me an estimate on a full service. This was about 3 weeks ago. They still haven’t been able to tell me if they can do a service or not. Apparently the delay is because they have to reach out to Zenith to inquire about availability of certain parts. My question is, is this a typical thing? I’ve never had to service a vintage watch before, but does it really take 3 weeks to figure out if a shop can even do it?
I recently bought this 90’s model Zenith Prime and am trying out different strap options. I originally thought I’d stick with a leather strap, but now am kind of liking this mesh bracelet. I’d be grateful for any other bracelet recommendations.
After 5 months of trying to convince myself that buying a 30 year old watch from a different country, sight unseen, was a stupid idea… I failed. So here’s my new friend, Zenith Prime (01-0010.420).
