Given that there are only a limited number of accredited universities that accept international students for the clinical year, why do so many candidates still prefer the PAVE pathway over ECFVG? Is the CPE exam in ECFVG considered that much of a hurdle?

Hello, I want to share my recent experience using transit without visa scheme. I and my wife traveled back from the states to our home country and we had flights with a 12 hour layover in heathrow. We approached to passport control desks and told that we have a long layover and want to get out, the officer said that this is actually for emergencies and people using this scheme to avoid paying visa fees. She checked our visas and boarding passes and told us that this is the last time she lets us in.
