Model pose

Fun fact: sea lions hit this "head up, chest out" pose to thermoregulate (dry out in the sun) and open their airways to breathe more comfortably. It can also be to assert dominance, or in this case, to look handsome for the camera :)

Thoughts on the pier 39 live street performances?

Sea lion facepalm

First pic looks like she's facepalming, second looks like she's shielding her eyes from the sun 🤣

Throwback to Chonkers scaring everybody else off the dock

Captured earlier this year while Chonkers himself was still around. I miss him :(

They look so comfy 🥹

One in the middle was using the other's flipper as an eye mask lol

Rude sea lion walks all over everyone else 😤

Unbelievably entitled behavior

Sea lion posing for the camera

Anyone know why they pose like this? Is it just to be silly?

Chonkers is that you!?

Definitely a stellar sea lion, but jury's still out on whether it's Chonkers himself
