small truck suggestions for a daily driver?

Idea’s for a cheap small truck or SUV to get through Kentucky winters and daily driving from work and college? I have a charger I daily drive now but do not feel comfortable driving a cammed v8 through the winter months at 20. preferably $5,000ish budget. Originally thought of a 3rd gen 4runner but seems impossible at that budget.

Dodge Charger R/T help

I purchased a modified Dodge Charger a few months ago naively wanting the car young for college and got in at a deal i was pretty happy with at $16.6k, have been having some small issues i’m wondering if you all can confirm solutions for before it goes to a tuner next Wednesday. Car is a 5.7 with 98,000 miles and is a 2020.

modifications we think are done to the car:
-PCM unlock by hptuners and a tune i cant confirm who did it but i am pretty sure it is custom and was put on a dyno at one point
-long tube headers
-catless midpipes or straight pipe replacing cat
-rear resonator delete with keeping the factory mufflers
-aftermarket camshaft (car idle has a nice chop)
-JLT cold air intake
-Catch can

issues i have been having:
-raspy fuel almost sound in my exhaust
-sloppy throttle response sometimes but pulls hard others especially when flooring
- harsh downshifts and sloppy hesitant upshifts

could a replacement muffler and a better tune fix what i think this is missing? from what i’m reading this sounds like the most likely case scenario but
would like second opinions, my temperatures are all regular too.

First car at 20

2020 Charger R/T with some fun mods and a tune. My first car was a 2013 Lexus ct200h but it lasted a total of 6 days before being hit by someone running a red light, waited a little after insurance settled and decided to cough up the money for one of my original dream cars. Been a great driver the last month and super fun daily while young!

First real car

First actual car i bought on my own was a 2013 Lexus CT200h that got hit by someone running a red light 6 days into owning it, waited a while after receiving my insurance settlement and decided to jump on a car I dreamed of having lol. 2020 R/T in hellraisin has long tube headers straight pipe and a tune. Definitely a switch from the Lexus but am way happier and still own it outright like i did my lexus
