Focused Picture-only scans from the Kiyone-Mihoshi Character Artbook apart from the translation document's post.

Short story really, the rest of the artbook's practically novella with its one-shot comics and the CYOA goods. *shrug*

Translated Forgotten Kiyone-Mihoshi Stories from their Character Artbook (First Meeting novella + CYOA game)

Buried to the point of secrecy, there are two exclusive text stories covering Kiyone and Mihoshi:

  1. A short novella (explaining Kiyone and Mihoshi's first meeting and start of their partnership)
  2. A Choose Your Own Adventure style game with as much hilarity and zaniness as expected (even some brutality, since this is from Kiyone's POV).

These were found only in the Kiyone-Mihoshi Character Artbook, an excellent book all about the history of the characters from the novels, OVAs, TV shows, Mihoshi Space Adventure, video games, and even what little Pretty Sammy appearances are involved. But neither they, nor the interviews of their actresses, are the focus here.

The focus are the two now-translated stories in PDFs within a zipfile on mediafire in the link.

2003 Clone Wars (Battle of Dantooine) referenced in The Clone Wars Republic Heroes

Juma-9's semi-final mission has Kit Fisto drop a reference in regard to being impressed at Mace Windu's tenacity, after they've fought through this Republic station under siege for a third of the game (released in 2009, set in-between TCW Seasons 1 and 2).

There's only one battle that fits this references by this time. For all the things TCW would infamously override later on, this one game (released after Season 1) did hearken back to the original Clone Wars show with Mace Windu's over the top proto-Starkiller-TFU-esque display of power in respect.

Princess Gracia Ul Naga Saillune by Sheina Michico (Dragon Magazine October 1994) + Naga Information (Google Scanlated)

After years of hearing about such, I had a feeling that a depiction of Princess Naga of Saillune in royal regalia had to exist somewhere for a series this old, I just had to find it - and thank God, the answer was in an old Dragon Magazine (specifically, October 1994's at that)!

Talented illustrator Sheina Michico crafted this beautiful depiction of the beautiful incognito princess, and it's a part of a funny article with a couple of pages I couldn't resist running through the Google Translate to get some answers about.

Among the intriguing results in the following slides are an apparent glimpse of a hint of underworld connections in her assessment from novel stories for a do-or-die moment in her life to survive, and a special moment accompanying this picture with Naga's dating type preference answered by Naga herself, written like a novel's post-story Q&A session.

TOS Rare Post-Episode Trivia File Entries in Judgment Rites Floppy Version

A YouTuber uploaded all of the trivia file entries for TOS from the classic DOS floppy version of Judgment Rites, which had interesting episode lore and references in the Enterprise's ship library as a history note, along with some rare insight into just what happened to some cultures afterward (which tracks, since the year of Judgment Rites' events is 2269, right after Season 3 to be considered an unofficial Season 4 in junction with its predecessor game ST 25th Anniversary).

Not everyone gets a mention, but a lot of obscure and otherwise forgotten elements were given a nod or more. Special mention to the thumbnail showing such; all but confirming the Scalosians were quarantined ('Restricted') by Starfleet on the same level as Talos IV being quarantined/restricted in another entry (ouch).

These trivia files were completely removed from the CD-ROM/Steam versions for the sake of memory space for the actors' voices to fit in the game, so attempting to type most of these entries into the ship's computer will get next to nothing except the main game-original entries relative to the plot of Judgment Rites or the predecessor 25th Anniversary.

1999 Character Log Cards contain interesting post-Episode Thoughts from Kirk

In these cards, there were some character POVs from Kirk and Spock about their thoughts on aspects of each episode at the back of their cards.

Two of them caught my eye here; Kirk's thoughts about Deela after refusing her advances (weirdly placed on Rael's card instead of Deela's), and the extent of Kirk's 'recollection' of Rayna after the episode ended.

Possible Reference to Erasmus (Only in Name and Traits) in Fighting Fantasy Bloodbones (Delayed 1995-written gamebook that released in 2006)

Completely unrelated to QFG and just something seemingly thrown out there for kicks, but a possible reference leads me to think the author of the Fighting Fantasy Bloodbones might have had Quest for Glory in the mind for a minor mention on a completely different character, with a vaguely familiar character type to the humorous Erasmus.

Bloodbones' take at Erasmus is noted very briefly, and only after reaching the final part of the game (hence the spoiler tag), where the player character reaches a forgotten island that's the heart of all sorts of magic tomfoolery about the region of pirate-infested seas.

Not too long after arriving on this island, your character encounters a giant primate-looking animal scavenging shipwrecks on the beach, a creature whom can communicate (but in simple speech, and this detail only comes naturally through player choice of trying to talk, instead of opt to kill him or run away). This creature is a different one from the familiar Fenris of QFG, by the name of Balinac, but reveals his master is a wizard by the name of Erasmus.

Balinac will only tell this detail, as well as show you his master's 'cell' (more a place of study and being away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in a city named Halak - an original off-hand setting to Bloodbones' different world), if you kindly accept his request for sustenance and give him more than he sought out (one bottle of rum, instead of food).

The rum makes him befriend enough to feel like explain everything he knows, and namedrop his master as Erasmus as seen in the post pictures above.

On point, this Erasmus (certainly not QFG Erasmus) is a powerful wizard who went to the island to escape hustle and bustle, yet felt open enough to befriend and keep Balinac in his new home study, providing Balinac with magic wine and sharing insight into his take into Bloodbones' world's magic. Then the book's villain arrived and killed him (no specifics mentioned), leaving Balinac alone.

This other Erasmus' character's studies give critical information and magic to counter the LeChuck-esque voodoo pirates that your character has hunted down to their new hideout on not-Erasmus' island (whom didn't know of its location, inferring not-Erasmus sought out the intruders or was ambushed away from home when he was slain, since the needed magic to defeat the pirates are in two tomes left behind in the long-disrepaired home) to the point that if you don't do this, you risk blindly prowling around without a lay of the land from not-Erasmus' familiar (stand in for Fenris) and of course a good defense against magic with an attack boost/extra wards against the environment.

Bonus points for this gamebook being written in 1995 (around the time QFGV was going about its own struggles, circa 1994 before being released later in 1998), but Bloodbones ended up releasing 11 years later, then finally became the free to play title of the Fighting Fantasy collection placed on Steam as seen here.

TLDR: The old 1995-written gamebook (then delayed til 2006) needed a powerful wizard's magic knowledge and items to even the playing field since the player character's practically a farmkid seeking to avenge their family's deaths from pirates who dabbled in voodoo. And the author chose the name Erasmus to fit the wizard role (secluded and away from society willingly while taking his studies to a remote setting surrounded by water), complete with gamechanger spells, local insight, and supplies passed down to help the hero... post-humously, through his Fenris-esque familiar relating such game-critical information, only if you choose to befriend him. Given that QFGV was temporarily shelved a year before Bloodbones was being written, it's not too far a stretch to think it's possible that the nod to QFG was tossed in around that.

And the closest to an appearance in novelization style would be a short story in Excerpts from the Journals of a Rebel Pilot in Star Wars Insider 27, with his thoughts about the war shortly before Rebel Assault II's events fully engulf him.

Edit: It just dawned on me, the circle of pilots recruited by Lando at the start of Fate of the Jedi would have been perfect to return/add Rookie One among the other aces like Wedge Antilles (one of them being TIE Fighter's Maarek Stele) brought out of retirement.

The first novel was such a damn good read, and felt really at home with the series in its intended transition from the first season to the second season. It was good to have a character arc intended for Princess Ardala to re-evaluate her position to the throne, as well as have a surprise appearance of the >!Draconian Emperor!< (albeit >!his last given the regards to his death!<) near the end.

Still a shame that the other books never released and seemingly vanished into the ether.
