Has anyone else been finding life really hard in 2026?
School, work, relationships, family issues, toxicity… dealing with everything all at once feels exhausting. I knew life wouldn’t be easy, I expected challenges, but honestly, I didn’t expect it to feel *this* heavy.
I feel anxious almost all the time from
morning until I sleep. And even at night, I can’t really rest because I keep overthinking everything: what’s going to happen, what won’t happen, whether the things I’m waiting for will ever come.
It feels like no matter what I do, things keep going wrong. People are isolating more, everything feels distant, and it’s getting harder to keep up with life in general.
Just wondering if anyone else feels this way too.
Stuck in France with residence permit delay – no work rights, no social rights, no response from authorities or lawyer
Hi everyone,
I really need advice because I feel completely stuck and I don’t know what else I can do.
I’ve been in France for about 8 months. I applied for a residence permit and I just received an “attestation de prolongation d’instruction”.
This document only extends the processing time, but it does NOT give me:
permission to work
access to social rights
or proper support while waiting
I’m supposed to start my studies in September, but right now my situation is very difficult. I cannot work, and I also have health issues that require medical follow-up and social coverage.
We have already tried multiple steps:
contacting the prefecture several times (emails, messages, follow-ups)
contacting a lawyer
But we are not getting any response from either side.
I honestly don’t know what to do anymore. I feel like I’m just stuck waiting with no rights during this period.
Is this normal in France during long processing times?
Is there anything I can do to speed things up or at least get temporary rights?
Has anyone experienced something similar and found a solution?
Any advice would really help. Thank you.
How do you find motivation when everything feels too much?
I'm struggling with stress from school, job searching, health issues, and a difficult family environment. Lately I've felt emotionally drained and disconnected from things I used to care about.
For people who have gone through a period where multiple areas of life felt overwhelming at once, what helped you cope and move forward?
