Sad news
The artist Duane Flatmo, creator of El Pulpo Mecanico, El Pulpo Magnifico, and Rabid Transit, is ill. He’s a great friend and a superb artist, as well as a BM fixture.

Well, a new one by me - we are delayed at the gate at STL due to ::checks notes:: a defective ashtray in the rear restroom.
Apparently FAA required working ashtrays in the bathrooms, despite it being illegal to smoke in there.
Maintenance just arrived to tape the defective ashtray up. Only 15 minute delay but I thought the captain was joking when he announced it.
