Just don’t get a Tesla solar system

Repair Service is incredibly slow and you will end up being massively frustrated. After waiting four weeks, just got a call and my appointment for tomorrow is being rescheduled to September 17th due to ‘technician availability’. I don’t live in the middle of nowhere, I live in the Wash DC area.

Amazing (well, not that amazing if you really think about it) that a company with a $1,300,000,000,000 market cap has to take 2 months to dispatch a technician to even look at the issue. Who knows how long it’s going to take to repair.

Wow, the lies just keep on coming

From an email received this week:

“It is also important to understand what Schedule P/C is not. Schedule P/C is not a reduction in force (RIF), reorganization, or workforce downsizing initiative. Positions identified for Schedule P/C are selected based on the nature of the position and its duties, including whether the position is confidential, policy-determining, policy-making, or policy-advocating in character, not selected based on the performance, conduct, or personal characteristics of the employee occupying that position. A position's conversion to Schedule P/C should not be viewed as punitive or as a reflection on the employee serving in that role. Employees whose positions are designated as Schedule P/C remain career federal employees and continue to receive the same retirement and pension benefits available to other federal employees.

If a position is designated as Schedule P/C, the employee serving in that position will be considered at-will under the new framework, and certain employment rules and appeal processes may differ from those applicable to other career positions. However, designation itself does not constitute grounds for any adverse action. Schedule P/C employees also continue to be protected from retaliation and discrimination, and agencies are required to maintain procedures addressing prohibited personnel practices and whistleblower retaliation.”

You just don’t get it do you?

Memorial Day is about honoring those of us who wore the uniform who gave up everything. It is NOT to celebrate all those who served.

My gratitude to those who have fallen to keep us safer. 🫡

Nothing but a waste of money

Cannot believe this is still happening. 9:15pm, just outside the Union Station Metro Station.

Edit: for the many who want to be offended because you feel I am calling these people a waste of money, get a serious grip. It’s not the NGs that are the issue, it’s that they are being used by people who could give less than two 💩 about them.

This entire administration has cried about ‘fraud, waste and abuse’ in government but yet, is more than willing to spend hundred of $1,000,000s for this ‘show’ of force. Is there FWA? Yep, nothing at this scale can avoid it but instead of trying to address it effectively, more and more is just piled on top.

Anyone else tired of all this winning? And sadly, this is going to get worse as the last tanker from the Middle East arrived today. No more are coming for at least another 45 days and that’s if they start moving now.

Not to mention everything else that is being affected.

Philippines are about out of gas, other countries starting heavy rationing, airlines cutting back flights and prices going up 20+%, the inflationary shocks from fuel prices have only just started to appear.

How about that winning?

Just got a 2025 MME Premium with ER battery.

Couple of questions for the sub:

  1. anyone have weather tech floor mats and/or cargo mat? Thoughts?
  2. what sun shade would you recommend?
  3. front wheel splash guards? Good idea? We live in MD so we get all four seasons.
  4. charging question. I’ve heard that the software adjusts for the charging cycle issues of the NCM battery so keeping it at 100% isn’t the issue it was in earlier models, is this accurate?
  5. any tips/tricks you have would be appreciated.

Pulled the trigger on our 2025 MME Premium.

It’s been 24 hours and we are sooo happy.

Now just trying to figure it all out.

Thanks to everyone who responded to my question post.

5k miles, will be using it for a 30mile one way mostly highway commute 3days/week. Will not be financing.

Will be our run about town vehicle as we have a 2023 Outback for trips/hauling.

First EV so what should I be thinking about?

Will need to get an L2 charger installed in the garage so there’s that.
