Comedy sci-fi is my jam.
I have some a few indie recs.
First is a comedy sci-fi with a touch of galactic horrors and a hypespace cat. Its called Mortal Protection Services.
Hard book to talk about without giving away too many of the twists and spoilery things, but it's a blast. Some might even say, an experience. Strong hitchhiker's vibes, and also some arthur c clarke vibes.

The next rec I have is a sci-fi channel original movie in book form. Comedy, horror, camp, in that order.

I keep telling this author he needs to make a paperback of this and get an audiobook made, but he's yet to do it, so you can read it for free.
This last one is a short story, killer ending. Very dumb. I love it.
