curious how other architects and designers handle it — do you rough out the site yourself first to check feasibility, or go straight to a surveyor? feels like it depends on the project but wondering what people's workflows look like.

every time i look one up it's a different format, buried in a PDF from 2009, with amendments that reference other amendments. curious how people actually deal with this.

asking because i've been in this space for a while, is it the cost, waiting forever, or just finding someone decent to do it?
