If you had two weeks to travel in Central Asia, where would you go?
I'm planning a trip for next year and curious to see what the favourite places of those who live in the region are.

Hi all,
I have ~3 weeks for a trip in June/July next year and this is my initial itinerary. I'm a fan of nightlife, nature and football, and I'm hoping to tie in this trip with some Brazilian / Argentinian league fixtures or women's World Cup matches. Plan on flying between locations, apart from Minas Gerais to Rio.
Buenos Aires: 4 nights, including day trip to Colonia del Sacramento.
Iguazu Falls: 2 nights, one on Argentine side and one on Brazilian side.
São Paulo: 4 nights, with some travel to suburbs/nearby cities to visit friends.
Minas Gerais: 7 nights, 2 nights Belo Horizonte (including trip to Inhotim en route to Ouro Preto), 3 nights Ouro Preto, 2 nights Tiradentes. Travelling this leg with a local, hiring car in BH and dropping off in Rio.
Rio: 5 nights.
I'd love to add Ilha Grande too, but not sure if I could do it without either extending the trip by a few days or dropping a location. Any advice, recommendations or things you'd change, particularly from anyone who's been to this part of the world?
Excuse the poor quality pics, I rarely took any proper progress pics and scrubbed most pictures from the time when I was struggling with hair loss. Anyway, first three pictures are me at 21, second three are me today at 27, nearly 28. Marks a bit of a milestone as my uncle and grandfather (mother’s side) started shaving their head at 27 (and my dad had noticeable thinning), but for now I’ve beaten the Norwood reaper and still have a mop on my head.
Hairline shape hasn’t changed much with fin, but to be honest I always had a large forehead and bit of a V-shaped hairline even in my early teen years. The thickening has been the real improvement, it’s more or less just as thick as it was when I was a kid.
Dose is 1mg a day, though I started really small and gradually increased it in the initial few months of using fin. No side effects at all, can’t say I’ve even had a hint of one.
გამარჯობა ყველას!
I (27M) am going to Georgia in September with my sister (24F) and looking for feedback on my itinerary. Flying in/out of Tbilisi, and we’ll be getting around using mostly marshrutkas but also taxis for nearby trips and the train to Gori.
Day 1: TBILISI: Arrival in early afternoon. Staying in Fabrika.
Day 2: TBILISI: City centre and old town. Night out.
Day 3: TBILISI: Chronicles of Georgia, Jvari, Mtskheta.
Day 4: TBILISI: Gori, Stalin Museum, Uplistsikhe.
Day 5: TBILISI-STEPANTSMINDA: Stopping at Ananuri Fortress and Russia-Georgia friendship monument en route.
Day 6: STEPANTSMINDA: Hikes in mountains, Trinity Church, tour local area.
Day 7: STEPANTSMINDA-TBILISI: Sulphur baths in evening upon return. Staying in Old Town.
Day 8: TBILISI-SIGHNAGHI
Day 9: SIGHNAGHI: Wine tasting, vineyard tour organised by hostel.
Day 10: SIGHNAGHI-TBILISI: Staying in Old Town.
Day 11: TBILISI: Finish up any missed attractions in the morning, flight home in the evening.
Thoughts? Anything to add/skip? Thanks in advance.
I sprained my ankle 3 months ago, and initially I didn’t think much of it. I was still able to bear weight and only had very minor swelling and no bruising. It was sore the day after, but I was walking without any limp after another day, and was able to begin some careful strengthening and mobility exercises after another few days.
Since then it’s barely improved though, I still can’t jog more than a couple of steps without pain, can’t single-leg squat, and lose my balance if I try to stand on one leg for more than 5 seconds. The exact location of the pain seems to move around my ankle depending on what movement I’m doing. I can do non-weight bearing movements fine (with only a slightly reduced range of motion), although it feels a little stiff and I can feel it click with certain movements.
Any advice or thoughts?
As you can tell I like colourful designs and shirts from around the world.
The last Brazilian I met described herself like this. I'm not clued up enough on the various branches of Christianity, and I so often see Protestantism/Evangelicalism used interchangably when discussing the current state of religion in Brazil, so what could the views of someone who calls herself "Protestant but not Evangelical" be?

Think he got everything spot on. Opened the game by playing conservative football to keep energy levels up and quieten the crowd a little, then we were extremely effective when we chose our moments to counterattack fast and press high after the hydration break, and even came out looking much the better team at the start of the second half – despite hanging on at the end of the first. He reacted well to the red card, thought it was a gamble trying to shut up shop so soon but Mexico really didn’t threaten all that much when we sat back. Starting XI was good, and Burn, Stones and Spence all put in huge defensive performances when they came on as subs.
These are just a cheap thin polyester pair of trousers that are currently too long for me, but as someone who’s trying to move away from slim cuts I’m wondering if this is the kind of fit I should be going for. To be worn casually with a t-shirt, polo or casual button up.
Is there too much tapering to them? And is it worth getting them hemmed? I’m currently rolling up the cuffs but actually quite like the rolled up look more than I thought.
I know it’s a silly question to ask strangers if my shoe on my foot fits okay but here goes.
Bought my first ever pair of vans ever with the premium authentic ease in my usual size, and broadly happy with them. Good length and width for me, and have worn them inside and outside for a few hours without any pain or blisters.
However, they just don’t feel locked into my foot the same way other casual shoes do. My foot seems to move around a bit more, and if I walk without lacing them up my heels fly out of the shoe, though there’s little movement when laced properly. Thing is, I’m comparing it to much more structured shoes that I typically wear, like your classic New Balance dad shoe, so I don’t know if it’s simply the low-profile and less structured nature of vans authentics than mean they feel a little looser, especially with the authentic ease where there are only two lacing eyelets and no proper tongue. I tried going half a size down in the vans store (though not with these shoes specially) and they definitely felt too tight around my foot.
What do you think? Is it normal for vans to not feel that locked in, or are my feet just not really compatible with them? Do you think it’ll improve as I break them in more?
Even with all the discussion about the squad today, the XI that most people want starting the first game remains something like this:
Pickford
James, Konsa, Guehi, O'Reilly
Rice, Anderson
Saka, Bellingham, Rashford
Kane
It's probably the most settled starting XI in many of our liftimes - the only true unsurprising change would be Stones in for Konsa, with an outside chance of Gordon over Rashford or even Rogers over Bellingham. But given the few rogue picks in the squad, do you think there's any chance we'll see any unexpected starters?
I have an upcoming trip where I'm expecting to go to some nicer venues that require some slightly smarter shoes than what I'd usually wear. I'm not willing to give up on my trusty New Balances as my main pair, and I'm simply not a fan of an all-black running shoe which some people recommend as a do-it-all pair, so I'm looking to add a second to my bag. Ideally I'd like a shoe that's:
Any suggestions?
Going on my first beach holiday in years and got this shirt and shorts second hand online. Would like to get one more shirt, do you think a similar fit to this one would be good?
