Using the Eversweet fountain less?

My 3 month old kitten took to the new fountain fairly well but now she is using it less and less 😕

We have it on battery mode, with the sensor. I’ve kept her old bowl, as I wanted her to have access to water in case she wasn’t sure on the fountain.

Any advice or tips? I’ve not replaced the water since we got it. She seems to be a fan of water, as she’s always by the sink and always seemed to be drinking from her bowl

Me again… 1 month into introductions

10 year old chihuahua and 3 month old kitten (both females)

Unfortunately, we are still having to keep them apart, as the kitten still chases/jumps the dog (think she’s playing?). My dog doesn’t like it and runs off, which I think makes the kitten thinks it’s a ‘game’

My dog is more confident with treats - hence the picture 😅🫣

The kitten doesn’t hiss at the dog but she nuzzles into her chest/face and tries to wrap around her. When she nuzzles into the dog, she nips her feet and legs, which then makes the dog scared and loses all confidence again.

I’d love for them to at least ignore one another but feel it’s going to be like this until the kitten calms down (as you can imagine, she’s very crazy haha)

It was a tough, tearful and stressful first few weeks but feel we are having better days sometimes. I know it will take time but would appreciate any advice - TIA 🙂

Is the Eversweet Max 2 worth it?

I’m pleased with the yumshare solo so far, so wanted to get thoughts on the ever sweet Max 2. Is it easy to clean? I’ve got softened water, which should hopefully help

Luma too sensitive??

Every time I set a clean, it pauses so many times and I have to manually ‘resume’ the clean.

It’s great that there are these safety features in place, but I think it’s too sensitive?? There is no one in the way or in the camera 😫

It’s currently on manual mode, as I have an 11/12 week kitten

Meet Maple 🍁

I think she’s a tabico… whatever she is, she looks cute but is usually up to no good!
Currently introducing her to my 10 year old Chihuahua. Don’t be fooled by the photo together… she’s scared of the kitten! 🫣

How long did it take for your dog to accept a new kitten?

My 10 year old rescue Chihuahua is scared of my new 9 week old kitten… which is completely understandable!

This photo was taken giving them both treats, but they are normally in separate rooms and have had a gradual introduction (through scents/blankets etc/clear pen)

As she’s only a kitten, she tends to pounce or stalk the dog at times (especially when in hyper mode), which then scares my dog and makes her run off. The kitten will then think she’s playing.

My dog is very friendly and calm but doesn’t quite understand the kitten yet!

Any advice would be appreciated.
Please be nice… it’s been a stressful week and a half and trying to do my best! TIA

Cat introductions cause so much anxiety

I’m sure many of you can relate. We’ve just rehomed an 8 week kitten and currently have a calm/friendly chihuahua in the home. The kitten has grown up around two dogs and young children.

The first day we set up a ‘basecamp’ and she was in a clear pen - she saw the dog and showed no signs of aggression. 2nd day we let her explore the rooms, while the dog was in her bed and being calm.
The kitten obviously has mad hours playing and she tries to pounce on the dog or ‘tap’ her with her paw. My husband panicked and thought she was attacking her (I didn’t see) but think she was just playing. Now the dog is scared stiff and shaken up and hides when the cat is around. This obviously makes me very upset as she’s the sweetest dog.

I try to shut the cat in her pen/basecamp again but she jumps over the pen and gets worked up and agitated.

I’m not sure what I’m asking for here but needed a space to talk and would appreciate any advice or positive stories.

It’s funny, I’m typing this while they are both asleep on the sofa with me (cat on the top). Wish I could post a picture. Before getting her, I watched read so much advice and videos from Jackson Galaxy.

We are only on day 2 but feels so much longer. It sounds ridiculous but it’s causing me so much anxiety.. I feel so sick and shakey and not eating properly.

Introducing 8 week kitten to 10yr old Chihuahua

Any similar experiences or advice? We are on day 2.

The first night, the kitten was kept in the bathroom in an enclosed pen. She met our dog through the clear pen and showed no hissing or aggression towards the dog.

Today, she jumped over the pen 🫣 so can no longer be shut in there, unless we keep her in one room.

Obviously she’s young and loves to play but it scares my dog. Our dog is very gentle and shows no aggression. I try and distract the cat with her wand toy, which keeps her entertained

Not sure what I’m asking but would love some positive stories. We’ve watched so many Jackson galaxy videos and my cat from hell episodes 😅

Any positive stories on the Luma?

I’m trying to decide between the Luma and LR4. I prefer the open box design of the Luma (and the price) but I keep seeing mixed reviews of both machines. Also like the camera and air purifier on the Luma - it’s a nicer looking machine.

I’m based in the UK and looking to buy via Amazon around (if Prime Day has any deals), as the return costs are crazy for both manufacturers in the US.
