Hello everyone. I started using Progest-E for the first time this luteal phase, beginning 3 DPO (confirmed by a temperature rise and cervical mucus changes). I may have started too low, just 2 “popcorn kernels” before bed. Today I am 7 days post ovulation.
Yesterday I felt very lethargic and depressed. After reading about estrogen “kickback,” I increased my dose to 5 times throughout the day.
Now I have a sore throat and a stuffy nose. I know some people report a sore throat with Progest-E but what about congestion? Could this be estrogen kickback, or am I probably just coming down with a cold?
I started eating more carrot salad today in case it helps. I have two young children at home, so feeling this exhausted is really difficult.
My current plan is to continue until 12 DPO, stop before my period, and possibly not try it again next cycle. Does that seem reasonable? I’d appreciate any thoughts or experiences.
Today my 3.5-year-old bit his 1.5-year-old cousin. My pregnant sister and my mom gave me looks that made me feel judged, like it was somehow a reflection of my parenting. I corrected him right away, and I know this can be developmentally normal at this age. We had also had a really long day (not an excuse for his behavior), but I’m just sitting here feeling so much shame and embarrassment.
I know he’s still learning how to handle big emotions and impulses, but I’d really appreciate any insight or advice from other parents who have been through this.
