Couplands - would indifferent staff be the norm?

I was just at Couplands Linwood and the staff was no greeting (not even a polite hello, or price. He said nothing to me at all). Is it the norm? Because he was courteous to the customer before and after mine.

How common is the lamb innards soup (羊雜湯) in Northern China?

I only see the lamb innards soup in Chinese TV series, it is something that is virtually unknown in Hong Kong. I had tried that in New Zealand, it is very different from typical Cantonese dishes.

Authentic Turkish restaurants?

Hi all, does anyone know any authentic sit down Turkish restaurants here in Christchurch? So it is not just a fast food kebab takeaway place with a few chairs that you can find down the road in every suburb.

Thanks.

Lok Leipzig: what are people's thoughts on them, and are they doing better these days?

I had followed threads on /r/soccer and know about the history of RB Leipzig, and clubs with history dating back to the GDR. From what I have read, Lok Leipzig is a true or more "genuine" or authentic football club from Leipzig than Red Bull. Has its image and also fortunes gone better now in 2026 when compared with 10 or 20 years ago?

Thanks.

Cafe Valentino

What do people think about Cafe Valentino now? It was a decent place some years ago (and you absolutely needed bookings) but I felt the food isn’t as good as it used to be, it also changed hands a few times over the past 3 or 4 years.

Would be interested to hear your takes.

As title says, about Little Neighbourhood on Victoria Street. They served beer and pizzas. It’s now a parking space but still with boards saying Little Neighbourhood. I went there are a couple of events in the mid to late 2010s. I think they were last active before Covid.

What happened to them and are the former owners now running another hospo place?
