Been thinking about building my first PC for a bit now, even considering the rough market. I'm not dead set on building my own, though I do think it'd be a fun experience. Saw someone selling their PC on FB Marketplace today and it piqued my interest. Much of the parts listed below are the ones I'd be targeting myself. Asking $3k, says its about 4 months old and has 5 pics that all look solid and clean. Any thoughts on the value here, buying used, building vs prebuilt, etc. would be appreciated!

Just building my deck now for my first run and I can’t figure out what a part of Pokodo’s card means. It says that I can discard a progress token from them to add 1 token to an aid card. I have no idea what an aid card is haha. Is that something I’ll come across in my journey? It sounds like a test I will find on a friendly being, but I’m not sure. Any help!? Thanks!

Terrible timing, I know, but I'm getting going on my first PC build and gonna grab parts piece by piece, hoping for some "deals" and sales to crop up. Plan for the PC is for 1440p/4k AAA gaming, looking at a 9800 or 9850x3D CPU, 5080 GPU, and a x870E MOBO eventually.

With that background, got a question about SSDs. How much will speed and thermals of an SSD matter for my purposes? I won't be doing anything really besides gaming and light everyday tasks. I want good and future proofed parts (Gen4 minimum), but also don't need to blow unnecessary money for top of the line. Only considering a Gen 5 9100 Pro cuz it's cheaper than the 990 right now. Currently looking at the following, all 2TB, none with heatsinks (would prefer using the MOBO sink):

- Samsung 9100 Pro $349 (slightly concerned about increased heat)

- Samsung 990 Pro $369

- WD Black SN850x $349

- WD Black SN7100 $290

Is this splitting hairs? Should I just get the cheapest big name brand? My bad if this question is very basic, I'm new to the hobby. Thanks!
