How is living in Antwerp, Belgium?

Hi,

I have an interview for a job in Antwerp soon.

I've visited Brussels and I've genuibely enjoyed it but I've never been to Antwerp. I don't speak Dutch, but I'm willing to learn.

Is it family friendly, is it cool to live there with children? (any neighborhood to recommend?)

Is it bikable? Are there parks, is it close to any natural area?

I'm also a little afraid of the Flemish people, they've often been depicted to me as arrogant and French-hating.

Cheers!

Merci d'avance !

Tired of Komoot / Impossible routes

Hi!

I have very mixed feelings about Komoot. I use it to plan bike tours, but I've noticed it's really unreliable.

My last trip was awful.

The planned route would take me along paths hardly "bikable" (I pick "gravel" as my bike style, not "mountain bike", for a reason, and honestly even if I were into mountain bike, those paths were hardly paths at all). Some were deep tractor tire tracks in the middle of ~1 meter high grass; at some point there was simply no track anymore, I simply ended in the middle of a field.

And, worst of all, finally Komoot wanted me to enter a forest with a beautiful red sign stating "private property, no trespassing".

Do you have a way to "double check" your routes to make sure you don't face this type of issues?

Hi there,

I own a very nice Beaugnier tenor sax from the 1930's and I'm looking for a flight case where it could fit. I had bought a Jakob Winter one but I couldn't close it.

Since the sax is so old, it follows the original patent from Sax, and is not a "balanced action" as it were introduced by Selmer later. Basically it means the lower holes for the low B & Bb are on the "wrong" side of the horn, in comparison with a modern sax.

I need a case that can be carried on my shoulders like a bagpack.

Looking forward to your insights!

Cheers!

Hi there,

I'm thinking of switching to OpenCode (currently using mostly gemini cli). But the list of models and providers is a bit overwhelming. Plus I'm not a fan of pay-as-you-go: I'm always frightened i'll end up with a crazy bill. I'd like to stick with open source models only.

So basically, my question is: What model are you using, through which provider, and how much per month does it cost?

Cheers!
