Freelancing

Hello everyone,

This is just a thought I had on my mind...

Has anyone been able to earn money through skills like robotics, electronics, etc... as a freelancer or gig works in india?

For example making custom projects etc...

Obviously i am not talking about a job. Im talking about hobbyist or those of us who are still in college or even school ...

Have you managed to monetize your skills ? if so how?

Would really like some experiences and how to go about monetising skills in electronics robotics coding etc... while studying.

Obviously im not talking about get rich fast ... just enough to buy more more parts and tinker around more...

Help to find Robotics components

Hello everyone,

I need help in finding good electronics shops for raspberry pi , esp32 , drone motors etc...

Im currently a Robotics engineering student who likes to do projects... i also have plan for a startup but first i need to prototype and y'all know how expensive it can get.

One of the projects i had in my mind was a two prop thrust vectoring aircraft... and many projects that involve oled and raspberry ...

when i went to sp road... the price was literally higher than robu and robocraze - The only reason i went there was in hope the prices would be cheaper... but guess not.

So if any of you know some good places to buy electronics for WHOLESALE price - or a price cheaper than robu than or robocraze - in sp road , peenya or bangalore It would be alot helpful. Thanks in advance.

Day 05

Today, I feel a lot better. I don’t have the low points I experienced over the previous few days.

I’m not sure whether this is due to my diet or to feeling less stressed, but I’ve grown to accept the timeline and the patience it may require.

Other than that, my movement is the same as before, with no noticeable changes. However, I have noticed more vibrations, tingling, and twitching. I’m also experiencing the stiffness that everyone talks about. I can feel that my cheek is slightly stiff—not rock-hard, but more like a rubber band being stretched.

Aside from that, my medication and diet remain the same.

My mood has improved a lot.

See you all soon.

Day 04

Continuing My Journal — Day 3

I’m going to write about what happened today.

Firstly, there’s significantly less pain. It’s not as bad as before, and I feel like the pain is subsiding. However, the paralysis remains the same.

I went to the doctor again, and he told me to get an MRI done. I’m not sure why. I also asked him to increase the steroid dose, as everyone had suggested. I know it may be too late for that, but I had some pain on the right side as well, so I was scared.

Anyway, I’ve started taking 40 mg of steroids for the next four days, followed by a 10 mg taper every two days until I stop.

My eye has been getting watery, so I got some eye drops and ointment. The eye feels fine except for a few instances when it “glitches”—meaning it suddenly becomes watery.

I’m sleeping with tape over my mouth. I use the type of mouth tape that Instagram influencers use. It’s large and breathable, with a consistent size and level of stickiness compared to regular tape. I find it very comfortable.

I’m also taking ashwagandha. I noticed on my watch—although it may not be entirely accurate—that my stress levels have decreased. I’m taking only one tablet at night.

The other supplements I take are omega-3 with breakfast—usually oats, milk, whey protein, some fruit, and two eggs—and magnesium glycinate before sleeping.

I’m also taking the prescribed Nervijen tablet, which contains alpha-lipoic acid, in the morning. I wake up, take the tablet with a large glass of water, wait 30 minutes, and then have my coffee.

Right Now, I’m currently taking 40 mg of steroids per day for the next four days, followed by a 10 mg taper every two days.

Thats all for today...

See yall soon.

Day 03

Continuation from my previous posts.. im gonna share how life is with bells palsy till I recover to give people a better understanding of how it may progress.

I feel alot better today, I am starting to accept it ...

For starters... thank god it's not a stroke.

If it was a stroke it would take longer to heal and perhaps I would lose mobility in my arm and leg.

I can pretty much do anything I want except blink or smile... which both are somewhat manageable.

The pain is starting to subside...

Idk if the face looks better or worse.. its hard to give an estimate right now...

Im taking the meds as prescribed. And doing gentle facial excersizes here and there...

One is to just push the cheek and other is closing the eye using the hand without any force to blink.

I have also started taking omega 3... high dose b12... and magnesium glycinate and ashwagandh every time I sleep. I noticed it had a better impact on my sleep and stress (this data was recorded by my watch, so data could be misleading. But i hope to believe its working )

Another thing I learnt is that Angelina Jolie too had BP.

And Justin beiber and lil nas X .. so im pretty much not alone.

Also after reading some positive posts and comments on how people made a complete recovery it gave me hope too..

What hurts the most is being all fine and not being able to do any work...its like 2 weeks to 4 weeks are robbed...

But I think ill take a break for the next 3 days and get back to life... because I dont see any issues mentally or physically except for the eye.

I have been taping the eye when I sleep. Its a bit uncomfortable at first but eventually it offered a better sleep and peace of mind. I may go for a follow up tomorrow that Is day 4 to see if the medication is working and the symptoms are not worsening.

Well thats my todays log.

See yall soon.

Stay safe and happy.

Day 01 and Day 02

This is a continuation from the day 0 post...
I have decided to log this journey here. So that I can myself motivated and log my records of what I am feeling so that I can help anyone in the future who gets this too..

For starters...

I feel well, weird.

I feel like 2 weeks to recover!?? and then 1 months to completely heal??? so basically my whole summer is gone? Great

Now I go to reddit and read posts... and it takes years!!?? and SYNKENISIS???

Yes I did take a alot of stress from that..

But now i have decided to be stress free and let it take it course..

Im gonna look at the positive things for now .. like being able to move my hands and legs and my body.

And the eye being watery is what bothers me the most... so well i have started the drops and i can feel some improvement... occasionally i use my hand and close the left eye complelety and move around the pupil blink a couple times and add a drop of artificial tears. this greatly makes it more comfortable. But the issue is the non affected eye is trying to blink at the same time and thus is getting too watery too.. so yeah the left eye feels fine but the right is wierd now. like out of sync.

coming to the pain...

it hurts like shit when i try to have smtg hard...

so thus my diet is pretty much

soaked oats in the morning with a cup of whey protein .

pressure cooked - potatoes spinach onion tomato legumes and minced beef ( no salt)

good amount of potassium, b vitamins and protein.

Also I take a walk early morning around 4k steps

coming to the pain.. it has lingering pain and im trying to avoid any activity that may cause more pain as in hopes to reduce more inflammation..

for example when sleeping on the affected side my left side.. i didnt feel any pain plus the pillow gave support to the cheek and mouth and stopped me from drooling this also helped keep my eye closed.. now sleeping on the right side.. it hurt alot. idk why but i sleep either flat or on the left side..

For the sound... yes things are amplified but not all sounds.. only certain frequencies... like a few sounds are not so bad even if they are loud .. but a few sounds even if not loud really hurt.

now headphones..

this is a bit complicated... sometimes i do feel pain with them and sometimes not.

i switched to speakers and noticed it caused a bit of pain and that was generally true for whenver i turned them on.. but when i swtiched to headphone the pain subsided. now idk if thats due to the headphone blocking background noise or not...

The main issue with headphones is if its tight it could add extra pressure on the jaw or nerve worsening it.. so i am yet to figure that out.

i noticed some twitching in the upper eye lid and upper lip and also on the cheek... some googling tells its nerve trying to heal back.. i hope so too.

Either way im gonna spend the next 3 days watching something chill and trying to take as less stress as possible.

See yall again soon.

Today is day 0

Today I (20m) discovered there is something called bells palsy.

Morning I noticed i wasnt able to close the left side of my eye... then in the mirror I noticed one side was drooping. Obviously the first thing I did was raise both my arms ... it was fine.. but still didnt knew whether it was a stroke.. went to a neuro and he told it was a bells palsy. Well there is still some movement in the lip and the eye. I can close the eye 90% and the lip moves some what but it does look like im having a stroke.

Any suggestions and tips to increase recovery?

Thanks in advance.

Rate this desk setup.. also need suggestions to improve it

https://preview.redd.it/2a6jhbnyk9fh1.png?width=1600&format=png&auto=webp&s=576e5379f126402c160d0e41a925cfc61f33934f

Pretty decent desk setup I guess.

I use a acer 32 inch monitor along with the asus tuf F15 laptop.. i keep it closed most of the time as i dont like its screen and it isnt flush with the main screen...

for lights i use that generic lamp you get amazon for the left illumination. and for the right i use a desk lamp with a clamp to illuminate the back side.

I use a logitech keyboard (k650) i prefer that as its smtg i have gotten used to. mouse is a portronics toad one.. i definetly need a new mouse that has long battery than this.

coming to the elephant in the room -- yes i know it lacks a desk light that illuminates the desk.. but i havent found an good one .. monitor lights i think will glare up the screen or hit directly in the eyes making it uncomfortable.. and desk lamp will shine on the screen or be too far to illumuniate anything with shadows.

Also if you have any suggestions i am all ears to them.

Halal chicken breasts

Asalamwalaikum everyone,

I wanted to ask about clean halal shops that sell fresh chicken breast.

The local shops that I go dont sell boneless meat and neither breast.. or arent that clean.

Another option was chains like licious etc but I couldnt find any halal certification or didnt trust them enough..

If anyone has a shop or a butcher that can do chicken breast it would be very helpful..

Thank you in advance jazakallah

Need a dashboard for your ESP32 or Arduino project? I can build one @amkaamran

Hey guys,

A lot of ESP32/Arduino projects work fine on the hardware side, but the dashboard/UI part is usually where people get stuck.

I’m offering a Fiverr service where I build simple or advanced IoT web dashboards for ESP32, Arduino, sensors, and smart devices.

Example use cases:

  • View live sensor readings
  • Show temperature/humidity/voltage/current data
  • Add real-time charts
  • Control relays, lights, pumps, motors, etc.
  • Connect using MQTT, HTTP, Firebase, or a custom backend
  • Build a clean web interface for your project

This can be useful for smart home projects, final-year projects, agriculture monitoring, energy monitoring, robotics, or IoT prototypes.

Since my gig is new, I’m accepting a few discounted first projects to build reviews.

Here’s the gig if anyone wants to take a look:

Happy to answer questions too.
