How to handle 'where the hell is it' anxiety?

this might be a very stupid question, But I'm not afraid to ask it. I've been Flying my DJI Neo For a while now as a sort of boom camera for social media shoots. Because we want to upgrade our productions, It was time for Drone with a decent sensor. That's why we got the Dji 5 Mini pro.

I'm still learning all the functions and the moves, But my biggest anxiety is losing sight of the drone. I get pretty nervous when I can see or hear it anymore.

I was wondering, How do I get over this? Do I practice using just the remote? Do I trust tech and press return to home button when I panic? Or is this just a case of doing it to get over your fears?

H Have you experienced this? And how did you handle it?

A good TUI music player for the Mac

Hey guys, I'd love to get ready at the office and preferred to use text user interface applications above mouse and click mayhem. My question is quite simple: Is there a good TUI music player out there to play the local MP3 files I have stored on my Mac

All I have found so far are client server applications. They don't really work for me Because sometimes I work off-line and can only play local files.

So far, I've been using range and MPV, It's not bad, but maybe there is a nicer app out there .

Starting a podcast series on Digital Minimalism / intentionalism: Your input would help !

Hey Guys, Long time podcaster here. I’ve been doing the Knightwise.com podcast for over 2 decades now. It’s all about “Letting technology work for you”. In the recent series I’m talking about the tech I use every day and HOW I use it. Inspired heavily by this sub I would love you feedback on topics you would like me to delve into and how we might learn from eachoter to “tune tech” into our way of life.

I can’t paste a link without setting off the mods but … you can look for “Knightwise” on Spotify or Apple Podcasts

A simple text editor to edit subtitle files. (Without a subscription).

One of the things I use my iPad Pro for (iPad Pro 11 inch M1) is working with Davinci resolve. I edit video’s and generate subtitle files. These are of course full of errors and sometimes I need them to be checked by the client (or an external translator). I am looking for a simlpe app that can open up these .srt files (which are basically textfiles, allow me to edit them and save them back). Any suggestion on a good app (NON Subscription PLEASE) to do this with ?

A shortcut that switches Wi-Fi networks?

I’ve made several shortcuts, that helped my phone switch from work to focus mode. I would like to do the same thing for my iPad where I switch from a personal focus mode, to a work focus mode. When I was wondering, is there a functionality in Shortcuts to switch Wi-Fi networks. My Home network for personal use is different from my work network for professional use and I would like the iPad to switch networks when I switch focus modes.

In love with Pika OS … but Can’t get my belgian keyboard layout working.

Hey everyone. Just found out about Pika OS and I have to say I love what i’m seeing so far. The only downside is: I can’t seem to get my Belgian Azerty (.be) keyboard layout working.

I have followed the instructions on the PikaOS website telling me to remove the default conf file and install kbd and kbd-data.

When I want to set my keyboard layout to be (sudo localectl set-keymap be) it says the keyboard layout is not found. If i try .fr it does accept that entry. But even after rebooting nothing changes and they keyboard is still qwerty (even though in /ect/vconsole.conf it says it is set to .fr

any ideas what i’m doing wrong?

PikaNoob (Edit: i’m using Hyprland)

I was wondering if there is something like a tui-distro. A ready-made Lennox distribution with TUI apps and a TUI menu interface. Just like you have distros with gnome and specific applications, it would be interesting to have a distro with a text user interface and pre-selected tui and cli apps.

In the world of 1 million distros there has to be something like that out there?
