State-run center for the disabled hasn’t had A/C for three years

Is this some of that empathy they like to talk about in Albany?

Construction zone was waaaaay back yonder

Good job slowing down for the work zone, whoever you are, but we’re done with the work zone now. Miles ago. There was a big sign and everything, and no more cones, and…hello in there. Are you noticing ANY of this? You’re still doing 30. Big black and white sign says 5 5.

I really have to use the potty, man. Can we be somewhat more enthusiastic about accelerating? No? No.

Screw it, I bet this dirt road on my right has a nice tree I can pee behind.

New York legalized blood on ambulances. Crews still can’t use it.

TL;DR - Thanks to the state Department of Health not having its act together for two years and counting.

New York EBT cards finally get security chips, eventually

Congratulations to state leaders for at long last getting their brains around the idea that maybe we shouldn’t distribute benefits via glorified 1980s hotel room keycards.

Stealth idiot shows his true colors

Scene: 4 lane road that reduces to 2, speed limit 55 throughout. Most traffic in the 4-lane section hums along at a steady 57-62, and 55 in the 2-lane section.

And then there was THIS jabroni who overtakes me doing 65ish near the end of the 4-lane. Okay, whatever, at least he’s moving along into the 2-lane and…

42?

TF, man? We thought you were cool.

Now he’s got 15 vehicles stacked up and no sign he’s aware of any of them, even though he just passed a bunch of them a few miles back.

I hope he develops carbuncles on his nether regions.

Road work on 308?

NYSDOT has had the signs up to watch for weekday delays for a couple weeks now, but I have seen a whole lot of nothing getting done from Rhinebeck village out to the 199 junction.

Is this one of those "infrastructure investments" where they dump a couple buckets of asphalt into the potholes and call it good until five years from now? My loosened teeth would like an answer.
