Products with avocado oil are such a scam, talk about greenwashing!! I feel like companies are just running with it like crazy lately. Plus even if it was just 100% avocado oil, it’d probably cut with 10 other oils anyways. Best to just make your own mayo at this point I guess 🤷♀️
Hi everyone! So I need 3 professional preferences for a library materials handling/circulation position I’m currently in the process of interviewing for. Just someone to say they’ve worked with me at my previous jobs, I did a good job, etc. They just asked me for the references today so it’s pretty urgent. Got miss Lanie girlie from a local goodwill for $2.99 in her meet dress! I cleaned her body, got a stain out of her dress, and washed/conditioned her hair, then curled with foam rollers. I’m still new at doing AG hair, so I’ll probably recurl her curls again and then do a hot water dunk get rid of frizz and really set them. Oh and any advice regarding her hair would be greatly appreciated for when I restyle it! I’m pretty happy with the results for the first go around, bc she was a hot mess bf hand. I wish I had a before photo but I forgot to take one 😂
Her limbs need to be tightened and I want to add a little touch up face paint, so that’s my next project for her. I’ve always had found memories of Lanie bc she reminds me of my friend in middle school who ran an AG club that I was in. Her name was Lanie and she had the doll plus so many others like Marie Grace and Cecile, McKennas & her bunkbed, etc. that I was so jealous of lol! I’m really happy to be able to add her to my collection now🥰
I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but the listings near me are so bad! I'm in IL for reference, in a very weather suburb surrounded by lots of other wealthy suburbs, so you'd think it would be a gold mine for things like rich moms getting rid of their teenage kids stuff or old ladies wanting to downsize.
But it's either the same doll being reposted every freaking day bc no one is buying it (bc the price is like $450 for an old Kit or Molly), or ratty horrible condition looking dolls going for $300+ bc Cindy thinks anything AG is "rare" or resellers trying to flip a doll they got at goodwill for $10 and resell for $200, or random listings for things that aren't even AG (like OG dolls or Barbies) when I search up the different terms related to AG dolls. I think that's more a problem with the fb algorithm then anything though lol.
I've been searching just passively on there pretty consistently for about a year now and it's been so stagnant (even during what should be peak times for the doll/resell market). And yet I see people on social media and even this sub getting these awesome deals and I feel like I'm crazy for being the only one who's fb area sucks lol! Thrift stores around me are a no go as well, if they do have dolls, they're usually in very poor condition and wanting $50+ for them behind the from counter.
All the dolls I own now have either come from Mercari or Ebay. I find those prices (Mercari more then Ebay) to be much better then the FB ones and usually the quality/condition of most of the dolls is just way higher on there. Just wondered if anyone else has had the same experience?
Some people look at me like I’m crazy when I tell them I have a Wii U and how much I love it, but I honestly play it more then my Switch 😂
