lack of generic spells

Hi, I’m a new director I’ve never ran this game before. But reading up on the rules I’ve noticed a big gap in what characters are allowed to do.

There’s a huge tab dedicated to projects: crafting and enchanting items, researching lore, and even learning certain signature abilities from masters of other classes. But very conspicuously missing to me is a list of magical spells like in DND that you can learn. What I really want is to allow my players to dabble in a bit of magic if they want to.

DND doesn’t have a direct way of doing this but most classes have at least one subclass that lets them take spells from the larger spell table, I find that I really want a fury to be able to shoot fire if they want, and are willing to learn a firebolt spell. Or for players to be able to find a scroll depicting a magic spell that they can learn from and permanently amend their ability lists.

Do you think it’s worth it to homebrew something for this? Or would you say this is missing for a reason, or have I missed something? Thanks for your help

1 remaining secret achievement?

Hi, I’m playing on steam trying to go for the finished gun, I have about 170 hours in the game but that’s been split over a year and now I’m looking at the 1 remaining secret achievement and thinking “I have absolutely no idea what that could be”

For the record, I’ve done everyone’s past, unlocked the gunslinger, beaten the rat, been to every secret chamber, done all the challenge runs (including beast mode) I have every item it’s possible to buy, I’ve fully populated the hub area, I’ve done all frifles challenges, every elevator is finished I have every secret character, the only revealed achievements I have left are “kill 100 enemies with chandeliers” “kill 100 enemies while in minecarts” and “kill an advanced boss”

So what could this hidden achievement be? I’m genuinely lost

Edit: nvm it was to push a goddamn table in a pit

I’ve beaten the final boss a couple times now and I have to say it might be the single dumbest boss fight I’ve ever played in a roguelike. Not even because it’s hard, or even because of the automatic insta kill thing.

It’s actually a piss easy bossfight, I’ve never died to it, but instead I’m sat there getting knocked down over and over again, waking up into another spinning top and getting knocked down again, every time I have time to get damage in I get batted across the screen mid combo by one of those dumb fuck spinning tops and then wake up into another one with no counter play. The worst part is that it does almost 0 damage, so you’re just getting pummeled around like a tennis ball with 0 control and then just chipping the boss to death because you can’t ever get a full combo in, but you’ll never actually lose because it doesn’t do any damage.

It’s unbelievably frustrating, it’s not fun but it’s also not hard so it’s just a dumb chore. Unironically some of the worst boss design in a roguelike by far, and compared to the rest of the game it’s hysterically awful.

Please somebody tell me if I’m missing something.
