Balcony solar and power station for a refrigerator during Honolulu outages?

We use a Jackery to back up our sump pump and Wi-Fi when our rural power goes out, bridging the gap until we start the generator. This question is about a different situation.
My sister-in-law lives in a Honolulu high-rise and is still without power. She has once again had to empty her refrigerator. Her apartment has a balcony that receives considerable sun.

My wife suggested helping her buy a portable power station and solar panels capable of:
● Keeping the refrigerator running
● Charging her phone
● Possibly powering a fan and a few LED lamps

The panels would, of course, be brought inside before high winds or a storm. Our thought is that once the storm passes and the sky clears, she could recharge the power station from the balcony while utility crews repair the grid.
We still need to determine the refrigerator’s actual energy consumption, the balcony’s orientation and hours of direct sunlight, and any building restrictions.

Has anyone successfully used a balcony solar setup for this purpose? What battery capacity, inverter rating, and panel wattage would you recommend? Jackery is familiar to us, but we’re open to other reliable brands.

Light headed on standing

I’m 2+ tears in and trying dieting a pound or two a week. This summer I’m getting light headed when i stand from chair or bed. Not passing out level but a little woozy. Drink lots of Gzero and water.
Any body else have this experience?

Looking for a beginner 1:10 crawler chassis for restoring two sentimental Nikko Jeeps

I’m hoping to give new life to two 25-year-old Nikko Jeep Rubicon RCs that my kids and now my grandkids have played with. The hard bodies are in ok shape, but the toy-grade chassis are showing their age.
I’m looking for a beginner-friendly rolling chassis or chassis kit (electronics can be separate) with:
Budget: under $150 (or close)
Adjustable wheelbase around 250–260 mm
Suitable for a hard body about 200 mm wide
Measurements:
Jeep #1. Jeep #2
Wheelbase. 260 mm. 250 mm
Overall length 490 mm. 500 mm
Body width. 200 mm. 200 mm

I know the common SCX10 chassis is 313 mm, so that’s much too long for these bodies.
Are there any adjustable crawler chassis, rollers, or budget kits you’d recommend? I’m comfortable doing some fabrication for body mounts but would like to avoid major chassis modifications.

Thanks!

Alexa+ light problem resolved

After weeks of attempting to keep Alexa+ with two new gen 5 Dots and retain vocal control of our lights and stop spontaneous off and on I seem to have stumbled on a fix. I created two routines: 1. turn on our MB lamp at 9:30 PM in candlelight mode. 2. Turn on a downstairs living room lamp at 5 AM.

When we go to bed we can instruct A+ to increase brightness and turn off the MB lamp and it stays off. When we come down the stairs in the morning we can say “turn off living room table lamp”. A+ complies and no more spontaneous lights on and off upstairs, TV room, basement, etc.

All I can surmise is A+ wants routines and if it doesn’t have any it creates defaults to the vacation routines, random lights on and off at random times.

TBH A+ suggested I try to create routines in it’s five point list of how to address the lights problem. It was the final suggestion.

i want voice control

Our lights now come on and off at unpredictable times. Did all the recommended fixes, problem remains. I want a return to voice control. Alexa+ says, create a routine! This is a software disaster. The excellent hardware engineering that creates great sound from little speakers is in contrast to the pathetic software developed wherever by whomever.
When will an upgrade with a simple voice control lighting option become available?
FYI The inane Alexa+ recommendation for voice only light control:
Voice-Only Light Control Setup
I can create a routine that lets you control your lights using only voice commands. This would disable any other methods (like the app or physical switches) and make voice the exclusive control method.
What I'll set up:
• Voice triggers like "turn on lights" or "turn off lights"
• Control for all your light devices (Craigs Lamp, Table Lamp, Floor Lamp, etc.)
• Works across all rooms or specific areas
Quick questions to get this right:

  1. Which lights should be voice-only? All lights throughout the house, or specific rooms like Living Room, TV room, etc.?
  2. What phrases would you like to use? For example:

◦ "lights on" / "lights off"
◦ "turn on all lights" / "turn off all lights"
◦ Room-specific like "living room lights on"

  1. Should this be personalized just for you, or should anyone in the household be able to use these voice commands?
Once you let me know your preferences, I'll create the voice-controlled lighting routine that gives you exactly the control method you want.

Air pod style tips for Signias?

My Signia tips keep slipping out of my ear canals. Tried all kinds of buttons, tulips, and comformable tips.

When I wear my Air Pods they’re stable.

Is there a manufactured tip similar to Air Pod tips that work with Signias?
