Got this Banyan “Audrey” Ficus a month or so ago. I know very little about ficus, is this new growth with a small leaf a new branch? Or is it flowering?
What is this part at the top of the trunk? A leaf?
Any assistance or advice on how to care for her is appreciated!
Meet Melanie! I’ve had her for a few months now and she has been doing quite well. I’m not familiar with these plants. Should I be concerned with this browning leaf? I never repotted her when I brought her home because I wanted her to settle into her new home. I’m considering repotting her soon with a better draining soil, are these plants very sensitive? Any advice is welcome! Thank you!
Anyone else noticing the orange glow from the sun shining through the clouds? It’s quite similar to when we get wildfire smoke in the air but the air quality readings look to be alright. Just curious if anyone else thinks it’s strange. Maybe I’m just oblivious and the sun looks like this more often than I realized.
Inadvertently ended up doing some chaos gardening this year and just decided to see what pops up. Not sure if this is pumpkin or zucchini, I had zucchini in this area last year but my husband also tossed an old pumpkin in there right as winter started.
Are there any ways to tell for certain? (Before it starts to fruit)

I definitely over proofed, over handled and botched the shaping but it was still absolutely delicious. The top got way too brown. I think cheese at the top may have contributed to that and I’ll likely use foil next time.
What are your favorite inclusion combos? Excited to try some more!
This was Gloria’s second loaf. She was created 3/26 and I put her in the fridge for the first time on Friday. I know she’ll be okay but I’m nervous!
