Found this one on my porch paralyzed, hoping for a good outcome.

It is an AZ blonde most likely female due to coloring. There is some movement in the legs so I am hopeful. Any advice would be appreciated. I have zero experience but willing to learn.

Need help with setting up older amp and a new mono sub amp.

My car is loud, windows are always down, I just want some background tunes while cruising around. I have an older JBL amp that runs the front 4 speakers at 2 ohms each side L/R and 2 6x9’s in the rear. The head unit is a Bluetooth receiver to play music from my iPhone. The Kicker sub box is run by a Memphis mono amp getting its input signal from the preamp output on the JBL. Pics show some context.

  1. I am having trouble knowing exactly how to hook up the BT receiver (2 RCA’s) to the line level inputs on the JBL and how to set the switches for the GP1 and GP2.

  2. How exactly do o set the gain with a voltmeter. Every time I try it with a slightly different configuration I get waaaaaay different output voltage readings. Plus I don’t even know if my 2 ohm and 4 ohms will work together.

  3. How exactly do I set the gain for the sub? Again, I’ve tried several times and every time I get varying voltages. As of right low o can’t even get the 24 volts for gain at 85% volume. Yesterday I could. My JBL amp manual says the preout lines aren’t affected by the inputs. That’s not what I am seeing.

Can anyone help? I will answer any questions needed to help get this playing safely in my car. I just don’t wanna blow something up or burn my car down.

Identify and help with polishing/shining.

A few questions and thank you in advance for taking the time to help. I really enjoy picking up new hobbies and I got these at a thrift store for next to nothing to see if I can make these pretty….and my husband said they are super comfortable. I do have some supplies and would love a little guidance on these unknowns.

  1. Identification if possible. I searched the web with no luck. They are steel toe, they are ansi rated and the heels say Knapp. Are they Knapp? What era? What type of leather? Any idea how to decode the inside stamping?

  2. How do I know if I need to strip off the polish before beginning the process? I cleaned them with saddle soap and rubbed them with conditioner just to get an idea what they could look like. I would like them to pop with color and be shiny.

  3. Are these worth the trouble? I think they are quality but not totally sure. These are my first unknown thrift restore. I have had fun polishing my work boots and my really old Docs but I’m new to mens dress shoes.

Thanks, Brenda
