Anyone else have all sizes of locs?

My thinnest and one of my thickest. I love the variation in sizes across my head 🥰

Bed frame rails don't have a lip to keep anything in place. What do I do?

I have an old bed I am trying to reuse for a guest bedroom. My issue is that almost no one sells box springs anymore, so I need to go with slats, but the bed frame does not have a lip on the rails to hold anything in place. The bed in the link is nearly identical to what I have. Is velcro good enough to hold the slats steady? I can order a flat pack box spring, but they come from America, I'm in Ireland and I'm trying to stick to a budget. Any advice? Or is there another sub I can post to? TIA

Any tips for dealing with humidity?

I live in Ireland and we're having a heatwave at the moment. I had started a couch to 5k program 2 weeks ago and had to take a break because of the heat and humidity. Between that and my sports bra squeezing the life out of me I couldn't breathe well enough to finish my last run, and it's only gotten hotter.

I could maybe try to squeeze in a run before my husband leaves for work, usually around 7am, but the sun comes up around 4am so it could already be too warm and humid for outdoor activities by 6 or 6:30. I don't want to lose too much momentum, so I was wondering if anyone has any tips for dealing with heat and humidity?

Day 1 DONE!!

I've always wanted to be a runner, and today was day 1 on the journey. I found some Brooks Ghosts on sale for half price, laced them up and went for it. I'm using Just Run. I can't wait for Thursday for day 2! Hopefully my shoes will be a bit more broken in by then because OUCH!! LOL. Please enjoy the picture of my kitten Coco Muffin and her snaggletooth

Coco Muffin loves rolling in chalk 😹

Coco is recently fully vaccinated (and spayed and microchipped) and finally able to go outside. The weather has been nice so I bought my daughter some sidewalk chalk. To my surprise Coco is the one who enjoys it the most! Every day she goes out and rolls around in it, coming back dusty and colorful. She's the cutest little baby. I'll have to draw her something special to roll in.
