Blicavs' importance to Geelong for such a long time, and what happens when he's gone?

Just a random thought that's been simmering away in my head today.

The other day on the Agenda Setters, I think it was, they were highlighting the amount of work that Blicavs did all around the ground, and especially in the ruck, playing almost a tagging role on Max Gawn.

This really supports my view of many years that Blitz is arguably Geelong's most important player when it comes to stability around the ground, and it's been that way for half a decade.

I may be wrong in saying this, but I feel that whenever he isn't in the team, it hurts us really badly.

Now, this guy's 35 and though i feel that he definitely deserves another year on a contract, there's someone who (though probably has a little ways to go to get to his level) is pinned as the Blicavs replacement.

And that is (maybe obviously to some) Sam DeKoning. As much as I used to hate him playing the ruck role, he has gotten better year after year, and it definitely feels like a plan of transition to me thats developed over a few years. Him playing that unicorn role in the years to come under Chris Scott has been written on the wall for a few years now.

Voldemort name taboo (Ron)

A previous post just made me think of this. When reading The Deathly Hallows a few months ago, I was previously aware that in the books there's a reason why the Death Eaters come when Xenophillius Lovegood says "Voldemort" and that's also why the Death Eaters just happen to turn up in the diner.

At a certain point in the book though (and even though he had said Voldemort's name before) Ron all-of-a-sudden just thinks that they should stop saying his name for some reason.

Is there a genuine reason for this? Did he know that a taboo was possible? Because it just felt like plot convenience to me when reading it for the first time.

Lots of people are wanting a re-brand due to the Giannis era being over. Though I don't fully agree as I like our current logo, uniforms, etc, this may be a decent refresh to the jerseys; a rough mock-up based on the championship winning jersey in 2021.

Come to think of it now, though. Does a jersey actually NEED to have the team name/city on it?

If you were to create a colour scale using just metal albums without repeating a band too often, what would it look like?

Finally listened to all DT albums enough to confidently give a thorough ranking! I have truly fallen in love with this band over the last 7 months, and I'm annoyed there's no more new DT to listen to!

V-line is an absolute joke.

Would like to add a "man yells at cloud" flair.

The old man needs to get to Melbourne tomorrow (sunday) and the earliest train leaving Ballarat is at 8 o'clock? Obviously for someone who needs to be in Melbourne at that time, it just doesn't work.

Aside from that, there's barely any trains running at the moment whatsoever. Every time it's practically inconvenient AND there doesn't seem to be a bus replacement timetable.

Can't even find any reasons online as to why there's disruptions. There's still trains running, just not that many which is weird.

Songs that sound good even without the vocals?

Only listening to Distance Over Time the last few days (only 2 albums to go!!!) and At Wit's End is such a damn good song.

I thought I'd listen to the demo hoping it wouldn't fade out, because I wish the song would go on forever, and though it does unfortunately fade out, I was surprised at how good it sounds as an instrumental. Not trying to say it's better than the studio version

Any other demos or tracks that make you feel like this?

Very sorry for another delay, but Dance of Death was considered Janick's best songwriting credit!! Finally we have Steve Harris. Too many to choose from! Highest upvoted comment wins
