Wind Phone Complaint…

As you know, we made a post a few days ago saying that we were gifting this wind phone to the community. We were under the impression that this tree was on private property since it’s on the edge of our yard. Well, a code enforcement officer just stopped by to inform us that this is a city tree and we now have to take it down due to a complaint someone lodged.

I don’t know who would complain about this.

In the few days it’s been up, people have used this phone and we have been personally thanked by both our neighbors and people driving by.

I don’t know what makes the complainant hate joy…..but I hope you get therapy and find peace.

As for the phone, we are looking into options to have it securely in our front yard but still accessible to the neighborhood. The Wind Phone is NOT going away, but we will need to relocate it.

Would people feel safe using it on a fence? Perhaps on a pole in the yard? Do we need to relocate this to our back lot? Our only fear is that the back lot is an alleyway and not easily found or seen.

I wanted to get some opinions.

Wind Phone

There is a new art installation at the corner of Fry St and Spruce Tree Drive: a Wind Phone. My girlfriend has made it as a gift to the community, so please come visit to talk to your loved ones! We will be planting native wildflowers in the area, and eventually will be putting a small bench or chair so people can speak comfortably.

Name this kitten!

He is a boy! Our barn cat had kittens so she is now an indoor cat. She will be fixed after her kittens are independent but for the moment we just need names!

Either you can suggest a name or vote for one of the names we like:

- Lenny
- Mr. Butterworth
- Charles Ingalls
- Joseph
- Waffle
- Vermithor
- Harvey
- Milk
- Jacob

Looking for more Twin Cities Amateur Rider friends!

Any adult amateurs in the Twin Cities looking for adult amateur friends? I’m getting back into horses with my wife who is a trainer/eventer/dressage equestrian. Mostly looking to do trail riding for the horses’ fun and my own! I have a 10 year old Vanner horse named Moe, and am raising a yearling Oldenburg/Arabian cross named Dumas; pic for baby tax!

Here’s an Agender cuff I made to give away at Twin Cities’ Pride. What’s an identity yall don’t see represented often at Pride? I’d love to include everyone in my next creation!
