how competitive are epidemiology programs for grad school?

future grad student hopefully to grad school for epi and i'm mainly interested in university of washington as i'm in-state and i feel out of the loop bc it's been a few years since i graduated with my bachelor's so i want to know how competitive the masters program for epidemiology really is? i know it's highly rated and one of the best in the country but do you have "more" of a "chance" if you're in-state and went to uw before? is the msc more competitive than the mph? also i graduated with a bachelor's in polsci but a minor in global health since i pivoted completely my last two years from interest in law to public health, would that hurt my chances at least with wanting a msc? thanks!

good esthetician for skincare routine advice/help???

i'm looking for a good esthetician that can help me figure out the right routine for my skin and what my skin actually needs. i feel like i've wasted so much money on products that end up not even working so i'd rather get advice from an actual professional. i know that there a lot of estheticians but i feel like a lot of them are more services like face masks and peels. or is this more of a dermatologist thing? thanks!

watching mad men for the first time and is it humanly normal for me to hate don draper this much?

i just hate him so much i'm on season six so kinda close to being done and yet i have not warmed up to him at all and i like an antihero character like tony soprano and walter white but i'm not buying this whole don draper as an antihero trope. i really just despise him. and i hate him more than roger which is crazy because roger is awful too but it's something about don that i hate him so much

why do specialists say "the popping will never go away?" like why do we have to live like that?

just wondering if anyone else is sick of hearing that from any kind of specialist saying how you'll have to live with the popping because why? it's always annoying and lots of times painful and there are people who literally have the privilege of never having to deal with this so why should anyone with tmj have to settle for such advice. if certain treatments still keep letting the popping happen, then is it safe to that maybe it's not working. is it just me or does it seem like some of these specialists don't really care that much or are that informed? and i know that surgery is and should be left as a last resort that isn't always necessary but if it can help then why are so many specialists apprehensive about it?

for those that have had tmj surgery, did your jaw bone actually stop popping?

basically just wondering how a lot of people say there really isn't a cure fr tmj popping completely that if you've had surgery (which is considered the "extreme" method) did you jaw stop popping completely or does it still pop just not as much or less painful?

cotton or nylon or polyester: what do people ACTUALLY work out in?

so i've been seeing a lot of talk online where both sides are very passionate about how they feel with working out in cotton or nylon/polyester. i'm looking for more workout clothes so is it better to do it in cotton that doesn't stick to you and is less likely to have endocrine disrupters if you're a woman but it stinks or nylon/polyester because there's less of a smell or marks and can be better for rougher workouts??? is big fitness apparel just lobbying to get people to spend more money on workout clothes? does any of it all really matter?
