I got LPN'd for the last time

They sent me a used shower diverter. It was in pieces. Plastic bits everywhere. How could they not realize it was broken?

To make matters worse, they want me to return the broken thing and the nearest dropoff they suggested was closed when i got there for remodeling!

I just canceled every pending order I had, and cancelled subscribe & save. I'm done.

The used dirty shoes were bad enough but this wasn't even in one piece.

Bank account access with deceased family member

My mother passed about a week ago. She was using go2bank. Today they closed the account for fraud according to an email they sent to my mother's email address.

I managed to get to a support agent on their chat and they told me I have to call them. I tried but I only have her social security number and not her bank card. She had dementia near the end along with cancer and misplaced the card.

I'm trying to find out what happens to the money in that account. Most of it was her last social security check which I understand the SSA will take back most of it. That's fine. There was about 700 dollars left in the account beyond that. I have no idea if they will mail a check or if they stole the money or what happens.

I'm not expecting the money as it would obviously be part of her estate. I wasn't touching the money and haven't tried to login to her account since she died. I know it's not unusual for a bank to close an account after a death. it just seems this wasn't why they did and I'm not sure what the next steps are.

My mother didn't have any assets besides this bank account. No retirement. No life insurance. I didn't expect to get any of the money when it goes through probate anyway but now I feel like go2bank just took it. She was evicted a few weeks before her death on top of things.

Security filter issues

It appears Google doesn't have a program like competitors to validate an account for security related activities on consumer accounts. I'm an OS developer, and I'm trying to patch security issues, and it's blocking me frequently. When I ask Gemini, it tells me to get creative with how I word things. That's not a solution!

This seems like a miss when Codex let me upload my ID to verify it at least. I don't like having to use persona, but at least they have a solution.

One of the things I like to do is scan my code for security issues proactively, but I also have to fix issues in the OS that are reported by others. I like to compare solutions between several different agents & models to double-check things. This is frustrating. I'm just a guy doing open source work, not a big company.

  1. Google should allow people to validate to do this work.
  2. Google should NOT tell people how to work around their own security controls.

Here's a concrete example: FreeBSD dropped like 8 advisories yesterday. I needed to check if I had the same code in my OS, since it was based on older FreeBSD code. With claude or codex, I can paste in the freebsd security advisory, and ask it to verify if my OS is vulnerable to this same problem. It works. With agy cli, it just stops dead.
