It's a sad day, a deer decided to end it all this morning by jumping out in front of me on my way to work. Luckily I saw him and had a chance to slow down a little and try to get around him. Even though I hit him pretty hard I managed to stay on the pegs and bring myself to a stop. The bike is quite ridable but I worry a little about the forks and with basically every fairing and the gas tank damaged I'm pretty sure she's totaled.

An additional bummer is that I was going camping this coming weekend.

I got out on my first moto camping trip! Took the Rally over Bethel Ridge on the WABDR and stopped off on Timberwolf Mtn. Fun so far. I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.

I went on my first real ride on the Rally today. I rode about 150 miles. First off, my butt is sore! That seat is not all that comfortable. After my ride, I hopped on my Transalp to run to the grocery store, and I have to say that I really appreciate the comfort seat on the TA. Second, the bike did fine on the little bit of single track I hit today, but I had so much more fun on the logging roads.

Woke up this morning with a wild hair. I decided that I NEEDED a 300L. Too bad no one has one. So I got a 26 Rally instead. It's slower than just about everything on the road but a lot of fun offroad!
