Was Ryu a part of the Date clan? I think he could be

In Kashimo's backstory, Ryu was mentioned to be living in Date province (its not a province but whatever). The Date clan is a samurai clan, and Ryu in the Edo period had a samurai cut and held a katana. Also, it would explain Uro's hatred more since the Date clan is related to the Fujiwara clan.

(Speculation/Headcanon part) we know nothing about the time Kashimo lived but since it's very far away from Date city I'd say he was in his prime at around the Shimabara rebellion, and participated in it (for some lore I'm working on)

I've noticed lately that a lot of Yuta fans (and Maki fans to some extent) have gotten way too comfortable with slandering Kashimo. So in exchange for Kashimo's MAPPA upscales, Yuta will look extra stupid when animated in Gojo's body

And Maki when hit with Sukuna's black flash will have a 4 angled view like when Maki punched Naoya

I think Mori could be a Shikigami user, Atsushi could have a CT like MBA but reversible, Dazai has nerfed JL while Ranpo would be stuck at grade 1 like Kusakabe since he actually doesn't have an ability/CT

Notice how almost every Kashimo 'slander' is related to powerscaling 🙄🙄🙄

I love Kashimo very much. He has a cool character design, and I like the whole "lonely strongest" narrative he has. But I guess his character sort of just falls off thanks to knowing nothing about the Edo period and his only showing in base being against Hakari, who counters him hard. Also, the Edo period is 265 years long, yet we know nothing of when Kashimo was alive. Also, there's not much to him besides being a brawler. So as a result people just dislike him for powerscaling reasons instead of criticism of his character (like people do with Yuta). Lowk I wanna post my fanfic of Kashimo in the Shimabara rebellion (1637-38) now
