Looking for a compact travel handheld under $150

I'm looking for a compact handheld primarily for travel, with good ergonomics, good battery life, and a bright screen. I'll mostly be playing GBA and SNES (both 16-bit), along with other 16-bit and earlier systems. I have other devices for anything more demanding, so this handheld has a pretty specific purpose.

I'm currently considering the Retroid Pocket Classic, Anbernic RG40XXV, Mangmi Air Y, and KONKR Pocket Advance, but I'm open to other suggestions.

I'm comfortable setting up Android devices, but I'm also open to Linux-based handhelds. My budget is under $150.

For those with experience with these devices, which would you recommend? Screen brightness and ergonomics are especially important to me, followed by portability.

Looking for a reliable appliance brand for the whole kitchen, but right now I just need a dishwasher

I’m feeling a little overwhelmed trying to pick a new dishwasher and could use some collective wisdom.

We need to replace our dishwasher. Our current one is a ~20-year-old GE Profile, and it’s finally on its way out. I initially figured we’d just replace it with another GE, but after doing some research I’ve come across quite a few not-so-great reviews of their newer models.

So now I’m basically starting from scratch.

We’ll likely be replacing our other kitchen appliances (range, microwave, refrigerator, etc.) within the next year as well, so ideally I’d like to stick with one brand for the whole kitchen. That makes the overall brand reliability/serviceability pretty important to me.

For those of you who have been doing this longer than I have: what dishwasher (or appliance) brands do you consider the more reputable and reliable these days? I’m primarily interested in long-term reliability, good cleaning/drying, and avoiding unnecessary smart-home/Wi-Fi features.

Not necessarily looking for a specific model yet, I’d mostly like to narrow down which brands are worth looking at.

Thanks!

Hey all,

I'm looking for brands that make quality vintage-style camp collar/open collar shirts like these. I’m into the more understated textured look — linen, slub cotton, indigo fabrics, etc.

I'm not as well versed with available brand offerings, but the brands I already know are Taylor Stitch, Portuguese Flannel, and Gustin. Curious what else is out there with good fabric quality and would love your recommendations.

I’m looking to get into roller hockey and could use some advice on how to approach it.

The only experience I have is messing around a bit as a kid (nothing organized) so I’m basically starting from scratch. My skating isn’t very strong, and my overall hockey skills are pretty limited.

Right now my plan is to pick up some entry-level gear and just practice on my own when a court is empty. Ideally, I’d like to take lessons at some point, but there don’t seem to be many options where I’m currently living, so I’m still trying to figure that out.

So I’ve got a couple questions:

  1. What’s the best way to actually learn skating and the fundamentals at this stage? Should I just focus on skating first, or try to incorporate stickhandling/shooting early on?
  2. What equipment would you recommend starting out? I’m planning on getting skates and a stick, but I’m unsure about things like gloves, are those something I should get right away, or can they wait?

Appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thanks!
