I'm so confused about secondary fermentation.

I am flavoring my cider/ in secondary. I cooked down a bunch of blueberries to add it's juice to the cider to flavor it, which has sugars but not much. Obviously that's going to start off fermentation again but what I've been reading says it should be stable through this phase with no activity. I feel like I'm missing something basic/ obvious. Is it going to lose the flavor because it's continuing to ferment? Should I age it, add the campote/ juice and then stabilize?

First attempt at Vikings Blod.

One of the first meads I had, but haven't had it since. I plan to get a bottle just to compare for fun.

3lbs honey

~36 oz of tart cherry juice

Topped with hibiscus tea (about 1 cup loose)

1.5 g fermaid O

Packet of M05.

What's your Vikings Blod recipe?

Mold risk with floating blueberries?

Hey just curious how long during the primary fermentation I can leave berries floating in the carboy and if there is a chance for mold or something. I feel like I remember seeing this mentioned somewhere but can't remember.

All over lawn, put down by landlord Maine, us.

Does anyone know what this is? Is it safe for dogs, can I walk barefoot in the grass? My guess is lime based off googling, but granules seem a bit smaller than lime.

Good cider recipes?

I see a bunch of cider recipes online but where is actually the best place to look? Is there a holy grail book or cider almanac? Recommendations would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Cider turning to vinegar.

My cider seems to be turning into vinegar unfortunately. I have done some reading and can't seem to find a way to save it.

Since it's barely vinegary, could I potentially pasteurize it and back sweeten + age to potentially get some alcohol out of it? Or is just a lost cause?

Bung keeps slipping.

First time using a carboy and I can't get the bung to stick in the hole. I've done some research and tried drying with a clean paper town but it really hasn't helped.

Is there a chance this is lead glass?

Looking to buy this, but I'm concerned it may be lead glass. Anyone know anything?

Edit: thanks all for your responses. I did some more diving, this is an owens-illinois glass jug. It's likely a borosilicate or soda glass. They did not manufacture glass jugs with lead at any point.

Is this gonna be alright?

I am making an apple cyzer and the airlock started to fill with foam. I switched it out to a cup and hose airlock. Is this gonna be okay? Is it gonna keep over flowing for the whole process (day 1). It's a lot warmer here than where I moved from so I think it might be the heat. Probably 75°f inside

Pleastant hill is a silly place.

Love this course. A little too open, but overall so much fun. Super pretty as well. However, the pars are ridiculous. I was having a okay round and missed 5 c1 putts. If you're in Portland Maine, it's worth the trip.

Edit: highly recommend looking at shot distances vs par
