Between Valhalla, No Return and Most Wanted which have you played and which do you enjoy the most? I’ve loved all three but I think I’ve put the most time into Valhalla because of the different possible builds but I can see sinking in a lot of time into Most Wanted for the same reason.

So the story trailer we got today gave us some more insight into what’s going on in the Echoes of Sekigahara DLC and in it, Atsu mentions that the Vipers took someone important to her.
Now if you’ve played the game, it would be easy to assume that this person could be Kiku but I’m not so sure. The present day story of Echoes doesn’t canonically take place at the end of the main game, but sometime between chapters/acts 1 and 2, as evidenced by Atsu’s sash only having the Snake, Oni, and Kitsune’s names crossed off. It’s safe to assume that this dlc will function similar to Iki island where it unlocks after that point in the story, before Atsu, Jubei and Oyuki head to Oshima Coast.
But the main reason I think it’s Hanbei who gets taken is because he’s the only weapons master who is required to progress the story. Master Yoshida, Sensei Takahashi, Master Enomoto, Ran, Hana, and Ina are all optional masters you can completely avoid if you choose but you have to encounter Hanbei and learn dual swords. He’s also the only master who knew Atsu and her family (the first sword she helped her father make was his), saved her after her first duel against Saito and she goes to visit him for guidance after Jubei and Oyuki are taken by Saito. He’s Atsu’s first confidant upon returning to Ezo and it makes perfect sense for her to feel the need to protect him after all he’s done for her.

Because I’m seeing regions where they’re already live and folks are saying stuff is sold out. Still waiting for 10am EST to go live and I really don’t want to miss out.

Aside from the news tab which just lets people preorder and links to the new cinematic trailer, there’s just the edition info and game description, no other trailers of the actual game or in-game screenshots like many other games have. Just seems weird to me for a game this big about two months from release
I know Atsu’s story is pretty much concluded, she doesn’t have anyone else to exact vengeance on, and a flashback to Sekigahara wouldn’t make much sense gameplay wise because she wouldn’t have any of her weapons. The same goes for other potential player characters like Jubei or Oyuki because they’re not as versatile as Atsu.
The only way I could see story dlc happening is Sucker Punch being really ambitious and taking a chance on an older Kiku in a story where she has to fight and recalls lessons from Atsu. What do you think they could do DLC wise?
I know they’re a smaller studio and all but after the delay and them now being published by Paramount one would think we’d be able to preorder by now. Especially given the assurance that console players would be able to participate in the beta if they preordered.
I just worry that this is more Paramount meddling and once again showing how much they hate this franchise despite owning it and knowing it’s popular.
Especially considering all of these had really great showings at previous showcases and are still slated for 2026. This year is already stacked but I still hope they can come out sooner rather than later.

Who’s excited to jump into Vice City?
Nightmare story, buddy immediately gave up and quit the moment he went down, his first down. We were doing well up to this point despite the constantly draining health. I was a shinobi so I was prepared to revive him as you can see. It just doesn’t make sense to me.
Thankfully I managed to match with someone else and we completed it but are people really that pressed to have a “perfect” run? To my knowledge there’s no reward for not being downed once unless that challenge card is active.
It’s not on the website and the game doesn’t even have a Wikipedia page yet. I know a few of the assists but can’t remember all of them

Quick review, no spoilers:
I had a great time with this game, despite its length. Clocking in around 3 hours, it’s a nostalgia trip following the last day between 3 friends before life takes them in different directions. The music is so integral to the narrative experience and enhances every scene, gameplay moment and interaction. The visuals are stunning, voice acting impeccable and the writing is humorous and realistic. Definitely worth checking out, especially since the $20 price tag (slightly less with PS plus) can’t be beat.
