Is the CX 60 PHEV a valid alternative to a BMW X3 PHEV?
We'll be moving (2 adults + 2 toddlers) soon to Austria and the plan is to import a used car (1-2 years old) from Germany. Given the crazy taxation on ICE cars and the need for long drives, choice has fallen to a AWD PHEV with a relatively low power ICE (i.e. Volvo XC60 is out).
After some research, the are three finalists:
- X3 (G45)
- X1 (SU11)
- Mazda CX60
Now, the X1 seems small to me for our needs. I am former owner of a BMW X3 G01 and Mazda CX-5 2023...and I simply don't like the X3 lines and internal (while wife is more attracted to the brand). Plus, it is 10k more than the X1 and 15k more than the Mazda. I would go for the Mazda, cheaper and to be better looking. But it's the first PHEV they've done, and it seems there have been issues...
Any direct experience or suggestion?
