Modded jet jj-350b

I've routed the pickup cavity to make space for a j mascis pickup set. the spacing is as close to a jazzmaster as possible.

new custom pickguard was hand cut. it kind of combines the lower half of the original with a more true to form top horn.

Also moved the neck more into the neck pocket because it had a plastic shim. removed it. plugged the holes, redrilled the neck holes.

The intonation is fine, still have about 2mm of adjustment on the low E with a daddatio baritone set.

the fretwork is really good. the only thing that bothers me is the neck dive of this guitar. really light body.

Want to buy a Rickenbaker, never tried one before

Hello all,

Looking for some advice. I want to buy a Rickenbacker and do not know what to expect from a playability perspective. I have no means of trying one out.

I have an es335, a mij strat and a PRS with pattern regular neck. All seem comfortable to me, I have medium-ish hands, really don't like flat or very wide necks, they tend to strain my hand.

I can go the route of buying a new one from a huge retailer with a solid return policy or finding some cool older ones on reverb - it seems that the price is pretty stable on these.

What would you recommend for a Ricky beginner? I tend to favor semihollows for some reason. And a Rickenbacker is on my bucket list from the very beginning.
