Doubts regarding after reporting

So guys i checked this site - https://quickby99.com/

This site is all about student induction program, 16 days every day what r the things will be done.

So my reporting is on 19th August, so ofc i wont be able to join directly at the auditorium right??? Idk what exactly and how will be the procedure, how much ik i will be at the admission office. First half of 19th aug isnt much just intro and all. And for 2nd session its all about electives and the professors will brief. And the admission office will take me time idk if i will be able to attend the second half or not. I want to attend so that i have a clarity of my electives. And next day on 20th aug finalizations of electives will be conducted, ig its about registering too.

also for next few days registration will be commencing. I will take biotech so my branch registration is on 24th. Will the registration continue for few days for that specific branch or its over???

Now I m confused after checking the schedule. i planned on reporting and then returning back home ane prepare my stuff to take with me and then go back and start with my classes since there isn't classes until 3rd sept.

Now not able to understand what to do?!!!

TL;DR :

REPORTING ON 19TH AUG, Branch : Biotechnology

Electives finalising on 20th and registration on erp portal on 24th

  1. Finalizing of electives is on 20th aug, is it the last day???? Or it can be done later too?

  2. How long will this course registration on erp portal will go on? In the schedule it ends on 24th aug. Will it continue even after 24th aug???

  3. Can i come back after reporting and if yes then by which date do i have to be back in college.

Idk why do i smell scam in this counselling

Many people like me got unlocked choice fillings and didn't get any seat allotment! So likewise if many were supposedly were exempt from counselling cuz of no locking of choices.

In that very way the ranks should go down rather than moving up!!!! Like this!!!

In no way will the neet students suddenly appear out of nowhere and get allotment like this!!! Any one who attempted the exam will definitely apply in it since day 1 cuz they know they wont get a chance in neet. So why this now???!!!!

Isnt it insane to assume neet caused not underlying issues like system or the whole system.

Is biotech worth it from tier 3???

Is it actually worth it to go with btech biotech from tier 3 for computational biology and bioinformatics????

Or should i go with computer science and engineering????

So that i can transition well??? I'm confused as hell.

I'm fine with further studies but at the same time i dont want to remain unemployed until i complete my masters. Freelancing or job during my ug days or after graduation.

I'm so confused I'm getting tier 3 clgs only.

Suggestions !!!!

!!!

Guys I'm getting 36,6xx rank in wbjee will probably get clgs like techno in kolkata and gov will be like in diff districts.

I'm not able to decide whether to take cs or biotech.

I m an ex neet aspirant doing terrible in neet. Now i have a good knowledge of coding, like not as of great type

But a lil more than basic. I m more interested in biotech cuz i would research path open for me in that along with tech skills.

But as yk biotech doesn't have gov clg and all r prvt out of those techno is the only one. And cs i might get prvt in Kolkata or in different districts.

Also everyone is saying Biotech isnt good. Its not growing. No money is there. Cs is considered better as it has good roi and ig yes it is i need money too. But idk I'm not able to decide and let go of the thought that biotech is growing and might land me a better job than this and i can enter into research market.

What do u guys think is biotech really worth it??? What would be a median package in diff clgs of biotech Branch?? And regarding cs what do i do.

I'm confused.

Review about btech biotech. Worth it???

Got Category 1 in BTech Biotechnology and seriously considering joining, but I need some honest insights from current students/seniors before making a decision.

A few things I really want realistic answers on:

  1. How good are the biotech labs actually?

- Are they well-equipped or mostly average?

- How often do students get practical exposure?

- Are research projects and lab opportunities easily available?

  1. How are the placements really?

- Not brochure statistics, actual ground reality.

- Since my other option is mainly a private college in my home state, I need decent job opportunities after graduation and can't afford to gamble on unrealistic expectations.

  1. What is the actual median salary for Biotechnology students?

- What do most students get, not just the highest packages?

  1. How many students from your batch/peer group got placed?

- Roughly what percentage gets placed?

- How many are doing genuinely well right after BTech?

- How many had to go for MSc, MTech, research, etc. because placements were limited?

  1. Is Biotechnology here worth it in 2026 and beyond?

- Especially for someone interested in bioinformatics, computational biology, coding, data analysis, etc.

- Do students get opportunities to move toward these fields?

  1. If you had the choice again, would you still choose Biotechnology here?

Would really appreciate honest answers, especially from 3rd/4th year students and recent graduates.
