Digital versions of my zines

I've been uploading pdfs of many of my zines: conlang booklets, info about my new society project etc. They're at the Internet Archive, can be read and downloaded by all. I have paper copies of most of them, some of which can be snail-mailed for those interested. https://archive.org/details/@alphistia123

enjoying this sub

I really have to say that after one month of lurking around here, I really like this subreddit. The "casual" aspect is SOOOOOOOO much nicer than that other group that takes itself far too seriously and is so unwelcoming. Ovat tave vanderen! (great work friends!) More info about my conlang/clang and other projects at: https://archive.org/details/@alphistia123

My oldest zine

I wrote a 64 page treatise in 1975 about a utopian country when I was a junior in high school, by hand. I still have it and one day I'll scan it in and post a facsimile of it. I did transcribe the text and make a pdf online version of it a few years back. I've added that zine and others to The Internet Archive. It's at https://archive.org/details/Alphistiansystemdigest

The Lord's Prayer in my conlang

Alphistian has been part of my life since 1967. I invented an alphabet then, and words soon followed. It is largely a Germanic-inspired conlang, similar a bit to Dutch and Norwegian, with a simple grammar. Here is the Lord's Prayer in Alphistian:

Nas patre, vem es na kielse, hilozhe es des nomine. Des konrike skala kom, des vilye skala es dunet, na arde sem et es na kielse. Deras os sedae nas daese tan, en verderas os nas sonden, sem ve verderas de sonden se otren. Nem os ne te de tentanea, yem lever os se eksel. Pa des es de konrike, de vakte, en de zhantapse, nu en pa altede. Amaena.

vanderse hoiven (friendly greetings)

The Lord's Prayer in Alphistian

My conlang Alphistian translation of the Lord's Prayer: literal translation in brackets [...]

Nas patre vem es na kielse, hilozhe es des nomine. Des konrike [Our father who is/are in heaven, holy is your name. Your kingdom]

skala kom, des vilye skala es dunet, [will come, your will will be done,]

na arde, sem et es na kielse. [on earth, as it is in heaven]

Deras os sedae nas daese tan, en verderas os nas sonden, sem ve [Give us today our day's bread, and forgive us our sins, as we]

verderas de sonden se otren. [forgive the sins of others.]

Nem os ne te de tentanea, yem lever os se eksel. [Take us not to (the) temptation, but deliver us from evil.]

Pa des es de konrike, de vakte, en de zhantapse, nu en pa altede. For your/s is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, now and for all time]

Amaena. [Amen]

Lord's Prayer in Standard English: Our father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive the trespasses of other. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, now and forever. Amen.

Alphistian conlang

I created Alphistian when I was nine years old, in 1967. I invented an alphabet, and was soon coining words. Some "ancient" original words like nomikle-book, lesenum-homeland, kilrete-parliament, spor-leader... The alphabet was eventually replaced by the Latin script, and Alphistian became a Germanic-influenced conlang, particularly by Dutch and Norwegian.

Alphistian is easy, with a simple grammar and phonetic pronunciation. Stress is slightly complicated, but 9 out of 10 words are accented on the penultimate syllable.

A beginner's textbook for the language is on the Internet Archive at https://archive.org/details/learnalphistiantextbook. A basic English-Alphistian dictionary is over at https://archive.org/details/englishalphistiandictionary2. An Alphistian-English dictionary will be posted soon, as well as a learner's workbook and a chrestomathy.

Alphistian is the official language of Project Alphistia, which would be an alternative to dystopian collapze...a stable, democratic, green, sustainable, and humane homeland.

Does anyone know what the conclusion to the Cows Loose on Campus "mayhem" is/was? Why has there not been a Campus Alert? ;)
