Part Cattle Dog…..?

This is Kya. We adopted her in 2022, after she was found tied to a building in Louisiana with her puppy. We have told in the past that her body shape kind of looks like an Australian Cattle Dog, but besides that, we have no idea what she could be… Her ears go up when she is alert (sees a chipmunk… 🐿️) and she is very silly. Can she be part of the club?

“Adam Kadmon” has been identified as Vincent Todd Peterson

Honestly felt this one could have been solved without genetic genealogy. Reports of him as a missing person were found in multiple newspapers that you can easily search online, and he went by the alias “Adam Kadam.” Wonder how the police never connected the dots, especially since he disappeared from and was found in Orlando, or why he was never put into NAMUS. I also wonder if his death was truly an accident, since he was reported to have “scars on his wrists” indicating possible past self harm.

No doubt, if Vincent was put into NAMUS, his disappearance would have been solved much much sooner.

Is Paul Buckley Travis County John Doe 1998?

Just randomly came across this and was quite shocked by the similarities. Has Paul Buckley, who went missing on April 1st, 1997 been ruled out as this John Doe found on May 27th, 1998?

The glasses found on the John Doe look to be the exact same Paul was wearing in one of the pictures provided of him. The reconstructions of the John Doe are also extremely similar to Paul.

There are a few things that don’t match up right, though.
- Age: The John Doe is estimated to be within 20-35. Paul was 46.
- Eye color: The John Doe was said to have hazel eyes. Paul was said to have blue.
- Weight: The John Doe was said to be around 153 pounds. Paul was reported to be 185.

But that’s it, everything else matches, such as height, hair color, etc. He is currently undergoing DNA testing by the DNA Doe Project, but I thought I would bring up this find anyway.

Emmett Rufus Litke

I have a friend who has a grandfather who disappeared in 1936 named Emmett Rufus Litke. He’s definitely dead now, since he was born in 1904, but it’s always been a family mystery. Since I’m not allowed to attach photos, I created a find grave memorial that I put some pictures in instead, although I don’t know how to turn off flowers because it doesn’t seem he was too good of a dude… There’s nothing else about him online I can link instead though.

Basically he scammed people as an automobile dealer by reporting false sales and using fraudulent mortgages to obtain money. After he was caught, he went on the run, leaving his wife and two children behind, never to be seen again. His wife divorced him, got custody of the children, and remarried. Some newspaper articles can be found online reporting this, but I was only allowed to add 5 photos to the memorial. You can find them by searching his name and the year 1936 as the keywords on newspapers.com. His wanted poster is basically the best information we have of him. Wonder where he went…

Hello, can someone help me understand this certain case regarding Michael Fingal, a teenage boy who disappeared in 1978? I’ve included some articles.

It seems that police “identified” him as a body found in a heating duct in Pennsylvania in 1983, however the parents never thought it was him. Then in 1986, the body was finally buried, but the “mystery still lingered” as people just assumed the body was that of Fingal.

“Although there is a good possibility official identification will never be made, Joyce said “for the purposes of our investigation, we are satisfied this (the remains) was that of Michael Fingal”

So was the body ever officially identified as Fingal? If not, shouldn’t he be listed as a missing person? I could not find a memorial for him on Find a Grave in the cemetery the body was buried in, so I would like to make one if the body wasn’t identified and moved. Thank you!

Hello, I am relatively new to FindAGrave and have a man on there that is my 2nd great grandfather. Since I am not a “close relative” (cause he died generations ago?) is this still enough for the memorial to be transferred to me? And if so, how do I go about contacting the person and what should I say?
